ABOUT ME:
I have thought about getting a breast augmentation since I was 16. I've always suffered some insecurity with my breasts. I consider myself an overall small human. I am petite in every aspect of my body. I am 5'1 about 95-100 pounds. I have always been insecure about my breasts, not only couldn't I fit into shirts or into swimsuits... I had to special order my bras, 30A, because they do not offer my size in any stores! How frustrating!! This made shopping for any apparel very difficult, and honestly embarrassing. I am finally at a point in my life where I am financially and mentally ready for this procedure.
MY GOALS:
MY CURRENT BRA SIZE: 30 A
MY DESIRED CUP SIZE: 30 C or 30 D... (Interchangeable for 32 B or 32 C)
I hope I can help someone out there... I wanted to share my story because this has truly been a journey for me. I have been researching for over 6 months now. I additionally never found a case that I was quite similar too! Most BA reviews claim to be "petite" but they go for implant sizes well over 300 cc's. Here is to hoping my review will at least help ONE person! <3
CONSULTATION EXPERIENCE:
I went to 3 consultations in total. I wanted to find a doctor that I felt extremely comfortable with. I also think there is never "too much" information you can take-away from a consultation. There are so many doctors and techniques, it's so important to find a person you trust. Being so small, I wanted a doctor that considered himself "conservative" with sizing. I am scared that a doctor won't understand what I am looking for.
DOCTOR I CHOSE:
Dr. Messa in Weston, FL. Although his consultation was $100 and he was by far the most expensive doctor I had gone to, I believe your body is an investment, I rather pay a little more and have way less of a chance of encountering problems...
HIS RECOMMENDATION:
My doctor suggested that in order to achieve my desired look, I should consider Mentor High Profile 275-300 cc's. I am worried 300 may be too large. However, I also don't want to use 250/275 cc and think "damn I could have gone a little bigger for $6000!"
Additionally, Dr. Messa specifically recommended inframammary fold incision because my areolas are considerably small and he believes it reduces risk of contamination which can lead to capsular contracture. He also mentioned I have a "great shape" and some tissue to work with! My pre-op is tomorrow. I can't wait to get my operation finalized!
