Hi there ladies!! So I have been a very petite girl my whole life and along with that I sadly never grew boobs! I have always struggled to find bras or bathing suit or even shirts to fit right and over the years became very self conscious! Breast don't/won't define me but I would like to feel like a woman!! So my journey begins! I met with a couple Doctors and finally chose to go with Dr. Schwartz! My surgery date is May 18th and my pre-op is May 11 so right around the corner!! My doctor suggested textured SHAPED implants for me and I am a little apprehensive about the shaped implants! I don't have any fullness in my upper breast and I don't want saggy boobs! I want to achieve fullness without looking fake so if you ladies have any insight or have shaped implants please please let me know your thoughts!! I will be posting pictures later!

Hi! My surgery is scheduled for May 17th so we are in this crazy waiting game together!! I'm a little stand-offish of shaped implants, only because they can turn (they might not) but if they do, then what... if they are round and they turn- they're round. I have friends who have both and no one has had problems with either. Are you going above or below the muscle? Why is your surgeon suggesting shaped implants? I would think you would get a fuller upper pole with a round implant, but I'm no expert!

Thats exactly what my fears and thoughts are! My surgeon suggested sientra textured shaped implants under the muscle for a natural looking breast seeing that I don't have much breast tissue to work with. When I have my pre-op I am going to express more of my concerns with the shaped implants (issues of shifting and not achieving the upper fullness I am looking) At the same time I am not wanting my new boobs to look super fake and have a round bulge at the top of my chest. I have been doing a lot of research on the new sientra textured implants and I have viewed my surgeons before and after pictures ALOT and he really seems to know what he is doing, so that puts my mind at ease! Im so glad I'm not on this journey alone cause I don't know anyone who has had a BA! Thank you for reaching out!

What size and shape of implant have you decided on? What bras have you invested in for your post - op? Do you have anxiety about it at all?

I keep having dreams about it and its still 4 weeks away!! LOL

My surgeon suggested going under the muscle with a round implant would give me the desired look I want (aka no "dinner plates") without risk of shifting shaped implants. My girlfriend who has the shaped implants (under muscle) definitely has more fullness in the bottom portion of her breast, but she also did a more modest amount of cc's. My girlfriend who has round, under the muscle went quite big and they look quite natural also I believe because they are under the muscle which flattens out the top of the implant a bit so it doesn't look so circular at the top.
I am getting round cohesive gel implants with an armpit approach, under muscle, 345cc's. These implants are 11.5cm wide and high profile. My surgeon firmly believes the natural look of implants are achieved by the correct volume (he gave me a range I had to stay within), and the correct width based on my rib cage measurements. He said if they are too wide or too narrow, that is when they look unnatural. If the implant gets too big and wide it will look "fake", and that's not the look I'm going for. To give you a bit of comparison to yourself (because everyone is going to be different based on height, weight, exsisting breast tissue etc.) My stats are: I'm 5'2", 115lbs currently wearing a 32B (which gapes at the top, ugh). I breast fed 4 babies so that's what happened there lol!
My surgeon provides me with the compression bra etc. for the month post op I have to wear it (I bet it's sexy!). Then the fun part of going shopping for new bras!!
I have major anxiety about it too- what if I go to big- or what if I chicken out and go smaller and regret that after, I mean for 10, 000 they better be awesome right!!
Your wish boobs are many of the same pics that I have saved as my wish boobs so I think we are looking for similar results. I'll be interested to hear how you make out at your pre-op appointment! Keep me in the loop OK! Good luck!

I had my pre-op on Wednesday and it went really well! We decided to go between 370cc's - 400cc's! When tried the sizers on everyone including myself liked the look of the 400cc but the sound of how much that is scares me!

Is that your boobs pre and post op in the second picture? If so, im interested in what CC's those are because they looks great!!

Unfortunately those are my wish pics! I wish I knew but I love the fullness and how they look more natural!

I am a very small A cup if that and would like to be a C maybe even a full C cup! i am very active and run/workout 5 days a week so I'm not sure if a full C cup with "get in the way." Doctors recommended C's because of my chest frame a B cup would look awkward, "like to balls on your chest." thoughts ladies?

Did you decide on a number of cc's yet? I am starting from the same size and its extremely hard to determine the right cc's without gong over board, lol.
April 19, 2016
I have not decided on cc's yet! On my pre op appointment on May 11th we will decide on cc's but i don't even have an idea of what would work on my body type! It is difficult figuring out how many cc's when sizes fluctuate so much! How about you?
April 20, 2016
I have not myself. Leaning towards 250-300 cc but want to have natural looking breast. So confusing.

If you're a small A now and you're looking for a C I wouldn't go less than 300 honestly. You want your monies worth and 300 isn't big at all! My friend was a smidge taller than you and small A and she got 375cc round silicone under and gets look great and natural.

post -op bras please help!

So im not used to bra shopping and now finding a sports bra for a size I'm not even sure ill be is complicated haha. I spoke with the nurse at the surgeons office and she recommended me to get whatever brand of sports bra or yoga bra I like, one or two sizes bigger. Im not sure if I am supposed to be getting something thats more relaxed and comfortable or a bra that is more supportive and "heavy duty." Does anyone have any recommendations or advice?

I've heard really good things about Brilliant Contours.

I'm interested in them, but haven't decided if I can justify the price yet. Considering you can wear them even after you recover, it might be worth it. Plus, the galaxy bra is so pretty!
