I haf my implants removed today after 7 years.
I had 350, over the muscle. Started feeling really scared after the pip scandel and was worried for my health. I didnt have pips but realised how damaging implants can be on our bodies.
i feel ok,procedure was simple, im home and feeling fine, i had just sedation and local. Was awake and eating my lunch within an hour.
Not too much pain, just a bit achey.
I am really active and have a 1 year old and it was totally the right time to be back to my self and implant free. I had them put in following an unhappy relationship. Wish i would of met my now husband sooner! I would of never had them put in,in the first place!
Just want to encourage you all , if you feel that its right to go ahead and remove them, do it!!
I didnt take a before photo but ill post some after ones soon when i feel brighter x

It sounds like this was a great decision for you! I'm glad the surgery went smoothly and that you're home with your family. Thank you so much for sharing. Think of the cute bras and tops you'll be able to wear now. :)

dressings off today, a bit sad....

Betty1983
Had my dressings off today and my breasts look really sad.
They are tiny, which im not worried about but they just look really deflated.
Does anyone know if they will fluff up at all? It seems they are really deflated at the top and a bit concave. I feel like i want to cry and that i look terrible.
Did i do the right thing in having them removed? I cannot beleive i thought breast implants were a good idea.
I hope and pray that in time they will look better...can anyone offer any advice?
X

I have been reading that they do fluff up and you have to give them quite a bit of time before you judge them. Might be a rough time waiting though. Perhaps you can ask your doctor about getting a fat transfer to fill them up some? I know I will be in the same situation. My breasts are very large (36GG) and my implants - back when I got them brought me from a B cup to a D cup so the amount of stretched skin I have is going to be tremendous. I'm trying to prepare myself for the initial shock - but I know it will be tough to accept for awhile. Thank goodness we can shove them into pretty bras with filler pads so at least we will look fabulous in our clothes right?

9 days later.....

So im on the 9th day after surgery. Feeling a bit up and down really but im sure that they are changing and fluffing a teeny bit and i think the skin might be improving a bit.
Ive started applying bio oil all over twice a day but not yet to the scars, doctor said to wait until next week for that.
Wearing sports bras all the time to for support and hopefully encouraging everything back in to the right place.
Things arent too bad really, just the upper poles are a bit indented.....do you think they will fill out?
Can anyone see from the photo if they think there is good potential for fluffing?
This is the first photo i have taken today, i was too scared before now. Its hars to see improvement from day 1 without photos but im sure its there...

You look great!! :) Don't worry about "fluffing" it'll happen in it's own time. It can take 6 months to a year for the breast tissue to fully recover. So just be kind to yourself & enjoy the feeling of freedom!

Thanks for sharing your pic. Mine are also over the muscle and coming out next month. (V scared) ! What size were your before BA? Hope all continues to go well with your recovery x

Thanks everyone for your support. Before BA I was 34b and went up to 34d with BA. I'm now wearing a small sports bra or 34b. I think the 34b seems a bit loose up top though so it might be better wearing 34a...... Thanks for your feedback and support. I'll carry on updating as I see progress xx

Did you breast feed with the implants? I guess after years of having implants the body just needs time to recovery x I've purchased a few creams recommended on here by different people to see which works best for me - coconut oil, grapeseed oil and aloe Vera...or maybe I'll use all of them ha x

From what I've read here at RS (and I've read A LOT!), fluffing is different for everybody, and it can take up to a year to achieve your best results. I had my surgery 16 days ago, and I'm trying not to pay too much attention to what I look like now. Anyway, there's a website someone else mentioned here that I checked out and it's pretty interesting. You might want to look at it: http://www.007b.com/ It's about breasts of all shapes and sizes. We have more types of breasts than the media tells us are the "right" ones. :)
