Best Possible Rhinoplasty I Could Ever Ask for - West Perth, AU

I have never left a review for anyone/anything before but in this case I simply had to. I could not recommend anyone more, for any kind of surgery than Dr Cunneen. As someone who has been troubled by the appearance of my nose since childhood I had researched extensively for years and even went to a consultation with another surgeon beforehand. From an outsiders perspective I didn’t have a severely deformed nose, nor was it a troubling size which was the overall judgement I received from my previous consultation in an almost ‘what are you even doing here?’ vibe, which completely put me off the surgery altogether. Still unable to come to terms with my appearance, I stumbled across his website almost by accident and spent a good 15 minutes on the phone to his practice manager Jo who confidently talked me through prices, estimates of appointment times and any questions I had she already had the answers to straight off the bat. When I first went to Dr Cunneen, instead of having my concerns downgraded, he understood entirely that I felt this surgery was necessary, and instead talked me extensively through every possible procedure I could undergo to improve my nose. This included some seriously high tech ‘before’ pictures in which he had the technology to show me exactly how he was going to reshape my nose until I was happy. I’d never undergone any kind of surgery beforehand and as soon as those words left my mouth Dr Cunneen was quick to tell me absolutely everything I could expect from what the surgery room would look like, how I would feel after I woke up and even how my face would look post-op from swelling to dressings. After spending a generous amount of time with me he told me to wait a few days to think it out but I was already sold from the first 30 seconds of meeting him and even managed to book a date for an open rhinoplasty literally two weeks after the initial consultation after being given a 4 month waiting period from a different surgeon for a closed rhinoplasty (granted I was lucky there was a cancellation but still). I ended up paying less for a full open rhinoplasty with him than what I had been quoted for a closed one from another surgeon by almost a $5000, including all costs pre & post op which as a student was the best possible outcome I could have possibly asked for. I could not commend the nurses and my anaesthetist at Bethesda hospital more I honestly had the happiest clinical team in the world who kept all my worries at bay, I’ve been more nervous waiting for piercings than I did for this operation. Next thing I knew I was awake in the recovery room fully capable of breathing through my nose and in virtually no pain. Shortly after Dr Cunneen visited me and his reaction said it all! The operation was quoted to last about 3 hours but instead went for 4.5 which told me he was not going to stop until he was completely satisfied with the result and just shows how driven he is by perfection. I almost couldn’t recognise myself and was already elated with the results a matter of hours post op. My favourite part of the entire experience was the fact that I didn’t even get a single bruise, seriously he must have been so gentle with my face as even the swelling subsided drastically in just two weeks and I had to be reminded by both him and his nurse Jan that my nose was still very swollen and it was only going to improve after stating a thousand times how happy I already am. I experienced no pain and no nausea even directly after the surgery and had to be reminded by family to take it easy. I’ve already put his name forward to several friends of mine who are interested in having cosmetic surgery as his bedside manner was impeccable and his attention to detail was flawless. I can’t stop looking at my new nose if I didn’t know any better I would honestly think he transplanted an entirely new one, I didn’t know that it was possible to reshape it to the extent that he did! I highly recommend him for any type of surgery if you want to be sure you are getting exactly what you want! Absolutely thrilled.
