Day 2 post op

Today was not the best day. I took a shower, I hadn't since the surgery but of course I had been cleaning the area meticulously. I also had a bowel movement and although I wasn't *straining* I still felt so much pressure on my vagina. I was afraid a stitch would come out it was so much pressure. Then after I was burning so much I almost thought I had a uti (long history of them) so I drank probably 4 bottles of water at once. Feeling already bloated from eating so much (have to eat almost double what i usually eat or I throw up because of the narcotics) downed all the water and just felt terrible. In the shower I felt so dizzy and I was just so swollen from the bowel movement. It was not fun at all. When I finally got out of the shower I wrapped myself up put a whole lot of a&d ointment on and got myself into bed as quickly as possible. I took a half norco and Benadryl and boy did that knock me out. For the first time I slept for a full 7 hours! Just woke up around 1 and I'm hurting a little but nothing crazy, I won't take any more pain pills tonight and hopefully in the morning I'll be feeling better. After today's episode I am having someone drive me to my post op tomorrow just in case I do have to take meds and the Benadryl again. Will update after post op appointment!

Post op day 1

Not too much pain at all, walking to the bathroom has gotten much easier and urinating doesn't burn as much like I said before pouring water as you go helps a lot. I realized I was having a lot of itching (on my stomach, back, etc) with the Norco so I called my doctor and she recommended taking some liquid Benadryl to help so I plan on doing that from now on. I've only been taking about half a norco tab and it's been helping just fine. I did have an episode of vomiting late last night but probably because I wasn't eating enough although I thought I was! So I've been eating small meals around the clock now to help prevent the nausea. So far I think I'm healing well and I'm unbelievably happy about the minimal pain.

First of all, this isn't something I would see...

First of all, this isn't something I would see myself putting online but I remember going through this website back and forth reading and re reading almost every review that had updates and pictures and they helped so much. It this helps just one person it's worth it for sure! For as long as I remember when I first saw my labia at around 10 or 11 I remember thinking "is it supposed to look like this?" And I didn't think much of it because at that age I didn't know what other girls looked like. When I was 18, I began becoming more and more annoyed with how uncomfortable I was in tight or lacy underwear. Sex was so uncomfortable for me and my boyfriend would become upset because I was constantly covering up and wanted the lights off he wanted me to be comfortable with him. But I wasn't comfortable with myself! I thought about it again but i had just started college and was working nearly daily so I couldn't figure out the time OR money really! So now here a couple days after turning 22, I've just started my career and I finally went through with the consultation, set up the day which was like 2 weeks after- Im so impatient!! But I did my research down to the T! I found Dr.Dana Golberg and I felt she could be the one. After meeting her and staff I was confident she would be the best for the job. So today was the day of the procedure and it was not bad at all! At my pre-op appointment I was prescribed Valium and Norco. I took a Valium maybe an hour before the procedure because I was feeling so anxious. She used numbing cream and then a local anesthetic and I was still worried about feeling anything down there but NOPE! Not a thing! They set me up with Netflix/ pandora and I just reclined in my chair watching a movie while she did her magic. Walking out I felt completely fine, just a little pressure in the area. But by the time I was almost home ( about and hour and 30 min drive) I took a norco because I felt some burning and tingling. Nothing too bad. When I first urinated that was unpleasant but the advice to pour water over before I begin my stream was so incredibly helpful. I've been laying in bed, my best friend stayed with me all day and helped me clean the area before she went home and I haven't had any unreasonable pain. As long as you set an alarm and try to prevent the break through pain you should be fine. Will keep you all updated with how I feel through the days and some pics! Cheers to my new platinum palace! I can't wait to see final results!

Amazing!! Dr. Dana and staff were all so helpful and personable. With the kind of procedure I was getting done I was so nervous and insecure about talking about it but everyone was so accepting and never once made me feel uncomfortable.
