lumps formed over the years

It has now been 5 years, i have a very noticeable lump in my upper lip and 2 other mildly noticeable lumps that im afraid are only getting worse with time. I feel like my lips are not terribly large but they look unnatural now in shape and definition. I am looking into options to remove the lumps but i am very skeptical of the methods out there. I know Dr J offers kenalog shots to reduce the lump size but i have found too many citations from doctors and patients with adverse side effects. Now i am looking into surgical options which are expensive and tedious with varied outcome. I really wish i never got the injections :(

Let me start by saying this was not my first...

Let me start by saying this was not my first encounter with Dr. J, I had a rhinoplasty consultation with him in 2012 I believe and to be honest it did not go so great. I really like his work, but I felt rather offended by his attitude/things he said. He suggested to me that maybe what I was looking for was perfection, and I should just be hoping for an improvement, perhaps I should see a psychologist if I was so overly concerned with my image. I felt like he was annoyed because I was asking him if he could change little things when he was doing the computer simulation.

In all fairness, I was picking at small details, and he was probably concerned that I really might be one of those patients that is never happy with the way I look, which is ultimately a liability for cosmetic surgeons. I would imagine in this field doctors deal with a lot of patients affected by body dismorphic disorder and suggesting a psychologist prior to cosmetic surgery could be helpful.

After thinking about the situation, I gave it another shot and went back to him for a less invasive procedure, silikon 1000, with a different attitude and our visit was great. We got along just fine, I was being realistic, and he was pleasant to deal with(and cant forget the girls at the front desk, the staff is very friendly!). As with his rhinoplasty results, I had seen his silikon results and I felt very comfortable with his abilities(as a patient should with permanent filler). Dr. J has an artistic eye and although he only injected my bottom lip per my request at the first visit, he said my top lip could use a touch too, which ultimately I came back for a touch up a year later and got the top injected too. The results are beautiful, my lips are plump but really natural. No bumps or "granulomas" which I've seen people concerned about on forums. The injections didn't hurt and the swelling lasted 24 hours maybe. The staff called each time to make sure i had no issues and Dr. J does a complimentary follow up visit to make sure everything is even etc. Really easy process, inexpensive compared to other treatments, and great results overall. I'm very happy I went back to Dr. J and I will be glad to see him for rhinoplasty when finances are better!
