Simply the Best! - West Orange, NJ

Just went for my 3 month post op appt. Can't believe its been 3 months! Everything seems okay, I can breathe alot better and am much happier with my side profile, there is still some minor swelling in the tip but its barely even visible! I also got a complimentary microdermabrasion facial which was amazing ( My skin definitely needed it!) Can't wait to see the progression continue! Thanks DR.J and his whole extremely friendly and kind office staff.

Ever since I can remember I was always self conscious of my side profile, I always wanted to get my nose done but as a young teen did not have the financial stability to do it, so I waited and researched waiting for the day I could finally fix my nose. FINALLY the day had come! Prior to seeing (and choosing Dr.Joseph) I visited four other doctors in the area near me and none were up to par with what I expected and I started to re-think the entire surgery. Finally I stumbled across reviews for Dr. Joseph which made me feel confident enough to drive an hour north and see if he was the doctor for me. First, I obviously called to make the consultation and as you can imagine had 2438493 questions that I almost felt bad asking the receptionist as prior places rushed me off the phone. Not only did she answer EVERY SINGLE question but she made me feel welcomed and calm JUST OVER THE PHONE! I was so excited at this first impression that I needed to go and see what Dr.Joseph himself was like. On my scheduled consultation Dr. J was amazing, funny and made me feel so confident to choose him as my doctor.. he LISTENED TO MY CONCERNS (which prior doctors seemed uninterested in and would rather tell me what THEY wanted to do) and made me feel so much more relaxed. We then went into his office and did the computer imaging which was awesome,BUT although he guaranteed it would look so similar, I didn't want to get my hopes up. After such an amazing visit, contrary to other offices, I booked my surgery! I left the first visit with a computer image of what I would *hopefully* look like, a surgery and pre-op date, and trying to calm my self down from excitement at how wonderfully everything went.

Pre-op- My pre-op went just as well if not better! I was obviously extremely nervous as I was 9 days away from surgery and the reality was setting in but AGAIN Dr. Joseph and his staff were absolutely amazing and reassured me before my surgery, providing me with detailed instructions of what to do before and after and a phone number to call at any time if I had any questions.

Surgery day- Being the first surgery on a Monday morning was nerve wracking, I did not sleep at all felt nauseous the entire car ride up and was so scared I almost wanted to cancel the whole thing! Then came Dr.J! He was so sweet and amazing and held my hand and again just reassured me through the whole process. My anxiety quickly turned to excitement and before you know it I was out.

After Surgery- I am not sure if I am one of the lucky ones or if its Dr.Joseph's techniques but I literally had ZERO pain!!! ALL 8 DAYS with a cast PAIN FREE!!! I did not even need the pain meds, and I still don't know how! I anticipated the worst pain imaginable and bought all soft foods thinking my teeth and mouth would hurt and NOTHING! SO SO GRATEFUL!! The only complaints (which may be different from person to person) with my healing process was a dry throat and some clogging in my ears the first 2 days when trying to swallow. ALSO not being able to wash my face and my hair daily KILLED ME! But seriously thats not even a complaint in the grand scheme of things.

Cast Removal- Virtually pain-free with the exception of a minor pinch when removing some stitches but on a scale of 1-10 I would rate it a 1 1/2, my nose was swollen upon cast removal so DONT JUDGE YOURSELF JUST YET!!

5 Week Check up- IN LOVE! My nose is still slightly swollen but it looks awesome, and Dr. J was right JUST LIKE THE COMPUTER IMAGING!! Anyway I wrote this review as my honest opinion because I hope it helps people to pick a great doctor. Reviews led me to Dr.J and I am so so so thankful and grateful for that. I can't wait for my nose to continue to look better and wish the best of luck to anyone looking to have the surgery!
