I'd had a significant dorsal hump and bulbous tip on my nose since I was a young child. My brother accidentally hit me on the bridge of my nose when I was 8, and I'm pretty sure my nose was broken at the time, but I don't remember too many details about it. In any case, I have been very self-conscious about the appearance of my nose, especially on profile view, all my life. Finally, at the age of 42, I made the big decision to get rhinoplasty - previous to this, I didn't really feel like I could afford to have such an expensive procedure done, but this office accepts Care Credit as well as other forms of payment, which helped out a lot. Anyway, to make a long story short, I scheduled a consultation visit after doing a lot of research on various surgeons in the area, and got the rhinoplasty done a little over a month ago (Nov 2016). After only a month, I can sincerely say that it was totally worth it. The results are incredible and I'm very happy with my new nose. I have attached some pictures that will show the before and after comparisons. Just keep in mind that I do have some chin issues and had nothing done to my chin, so my profile probably could have looked better if I had. However, if you just focus on my nose, you can see the huge difference. It looks a hundred times better. For anyone who's curious, post surgery is not painful really at all except for a little soreness here and there and that only lasted the first week or two. Over the first week, you will have trouble breathing from your nose, so that's the thing to consider and be prepared for. Otherwise, recovery has been painless and I was back to work within 2 weeks of having the procedure done. I am breathing better and feel so much less self-conscious about my profile! Overall, it was a great experience!
