24 Years Old Rhinoplasty and Neck Lipo

My nose has always been one of my biggest insecurities since middle school. I especially hated my profile, I never took pictures from the side, I tried to hide behind my hair, and I hated if people were looking at me from the side and I would always try to position myself in a way that I knew my profile would be less visible. I always compared my nose to others and envied anyone with a nice nose. After awhile I realized my recessive chin/not very defined jawline contributed to my far less than ideal profile and I further became more upset with my looks.
One day my mom came home and said she had met a woman who recommended Dr. Joseph, she told me to look him up and do some research. After seeing his credentials and reviews, I booked an appointment. My very first meeting with Dr. Joseph I understood why he had such amazing reviews. He was so personable, funny, kind, and I knew in my gut I had found the right Dr. He wrote down everything I didn't like about my nose and did a very thorough examination of it. I told him I also was considering a chin implant and he recommended some neck lipo instead. After some thought I decided to follow his advice. (The cost was for rhinoplasty and neck lipo.)
I had heard stories of how painful recovery after a rhinoplasty is, so I was shocked when I didn't have to use any pain killers post-op and essentially had no pain. At worst I felt discomfort, in fact the neck lipo caused more discomfort than the nose job (except for when I'd accidentally bump my nose, THEN it hurt a lot.) The worst part of recovery was not being able to breathe through my nose and having an extremely dry mouth/throat because of it, which affected my sleep. I was fortunate to not get severe bruising and I was only extremely swollen for about four days. All in all, the recovery was extremely smooth, more frustrating/annoying than actually painful.
When it came to the big reveal, I was anxious, nervous, and excited. I basically had put my trust in someone I had met three times to alter my face and kinda just hope for the best. Luckily, I put my trust in the right person, Dr. Joseph lived up to all the amazing reviews, all his reassurances that I would "love my new nose," and my expectations of what I wanted. Upon seeing my new nose, it only took a minute for me to start crying. I finally had a nice nose, all those years of being self-conscious and hating my appearance, I was finally content with myself (for the most part, there's other things I wouldn't mind altering, but that's beside the point.) My confidence has gone up significantly since the procedure and I spend a good amount of time looking in mirrors, marveling at my new nose from every angle. The rhinoplasty was one of the best decisions I've made, and so was choosing Dr. Joseph to perform the procedures and to guide me through this journey to a me I am happy with.

Not long ago I went in for another post-op check-up. One is scheduled every three months post surgery, and at each one Dr. Joseph assesses my nose, and takes pictures to compare before and after and the progress. But it's not just going in for a check up, Dr. Joseph asks me how school is going, how my mom is doing, it's like catching up with an old friend and it's nice to talk to him. I have no problems or complications with my nose.
Overall I'm very pleased with my result, it's still shocking to be seeing before and afters because at 8 months post-op, I'm starting to forget what my nose looked like before. I'm still getting used to, and loving, that I can take pictures from angles I always avoided!
