19 Year Old Rhinoplasty Review - West Orange, NJ

I underwent rhinoplasty surgery with Dr. Eric Joseph, and I am extremely pleased with my results. I had been unhappy with the shape of my natural nose since I was about 12, and I had always considered undergoing rhinoplasty but I was nervous to go into surgery. While researching plastic surgeons, I came across a number of positive reviews and photos of natural results for Dr. Joseph. I scheduled a consultation, and my mother and I met with Dr. Joseph. His office is comfortable, and his staff is always welcoming and friendly. I was nervous going into the consultation, but Dr. Joseph was very friendly and he put me at ease. I explained that I didn't like the large bump on my nose and the way the tip hung down because I felt it appeared masculine on my petite face. He said the goal would be to create a "cute feminine nose" which would appear natural and less distracting than my current nose. He led us into another room where he did photos and computer imaging, and I was really pleased and excited about the proposed photos. I liked how Dr. Joseph wasn't at all pushy, and he was patient and thorough in answering of all my questions. I knew right away that I would feel comfortable and confident in Dr. Joseph's skills in performing the surgery.
The next step was a pre-Op visit a week before surgery, and I went back to Dr. Joseph's office for pre-op instructions. Everything was thoroughly explained, including directions for pre and post op and what to expect. On the day of surgery, I arrived at the Fullerton Surgery Center in Montclair, NJ for the procedure. The staff there was very kind and accommodating, and everything was clean and professional. I was extremely nervous that morning, as I had never had surgery before. Dr. Eric came into the room before surgery, and he talked to me and joked around and assured me that things would go smoothly. He immediately put me at ease, he has excellent beside manner and I would trust him with my life. I was put under anesthesia, so I did not feel any pain after surgery. I was extremely uncomfortable the first few days because of the pressure and stuffiness, but it eventually subsided. Dr. Joseph gave me his personal cell phone number, and he called and checked up on me numerous times to make sure I was okay and that everything was going smoothly. My mom and I also called him once or twice with concerns, and he answered our questions and provided us with advice for post op care.
A week later I went back to Dr. Eric's office to remove my cast. Even though it was swollen and my eyes were still bruised, I could already tell that the outcome was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Everyday the swelling has gone down, and I become more and more satisfied with my nose. It looks natural with an even slope and matches my face as it should. I am now more confident in my appearance, and I am completely happy that I went through with the procedure.
