Co2

Today I went to Dr. Emers office to do punch exicision, bellafill, and Co2 with microneedling prp. All this was done to fix my acne scarring and all the scarring I got from a previous laser treatment. I did a cosmelan peel twice weeks before to prep my skin for hyperpigmentation since I’m asian. The punch exicision went smoothly, did two syringes of bellafill on the indentations caused by laser, and did deep fx on the deep scarring and active fx for the small divots. Did microneedling with PRP for better outcome. Idk if I rushed too many treatments at once but I trust Dr. Emer. Will post on how this treatment will go but honestly it’s hard for my face to get worse than it already was. At the very least I’m expecting at least 30 percent improvement from all these treatments today and I will update soon how the healing process goes. I was burned by a laser only four months ago and the reason why I did Co2 so fast is that it is easier to treat early scars than older scars, at least scientifically. Hopefully this works and gives hope to my life once again.

3rd treatment with Dr. Emer

Had my third treatment with Dr. Emer today. He performed subscion, ExcelV and one of the nurses performed the Fractora. At the end, Dr. Emer himself performed PRP injections for better healing. This time around, Dr. Emer took time to explain to me what he wanted to do and how my future treatments should look like. Throughout the whole process, Jonathan was just amazing, he calmed me down and assured that conservative settings would be used and to just trust the staff. So far, I have not seen any real results but it often takes a while for the collagen to build up, I will be posting my results from the laser treatments done by Dr. Emer and his staff soon. The radiofrequency treatment that damaged me left me with fat loss along my whole entire face, which left me with indentations. I am going to Dr. Karam on 10/3 for a micro fat transfer where he will do subscion and inject fat into my muscles and also superficially for the indentations. I am being super proactive about laser damage thus far and I hope that results will come about soon. My funds are taking a huge hit and treating laser damage is so so expensive.

laser damage treatment with dr. emer (will update progress)

Its been about 3 months since my laser damage. I am a college student, still 23 years old. I had a radiofrequency treatment called SecretRF and laser treatment called Sellas in the span of three weeks. I went into the med spa to treat some moderate acne scars just on my temples and cheeks, but ended up doing the whole face. I ended up with thick black blisters (plastic surgeon verified second degree burns) on my temples and cheeks, pinhole scarring, hypo and hyperpigmentation, texture irregularities, and lines all over my face that the laser had clearly left me. It has also led me to develop fat loss as well which leaves me more and more indentations every week. It has only been three months since my laser damage but I am so scared and depressed, to the point where I think my life might be over and there is no hope. I took matters into my own hands, did tons and tons of research on sites all over and realself, trying to correct this damage. Luckily for me, I live in Southern California about 1.5 hours away from Dr. Emer. Even though his procedures are super expensive, I managed to sum up the courage to go and see him and his staff. I explained to him everything and although he seemed to be in a rush, he seemed like he knew what to do. I started the Cosmelan peel with him to get rid of the hyperpigmentation that the black blister burns have left me and all over my face. Then about 2 weeks later, I started the first of many treatments that I would need. He recommended 6 fractora PRP treatments with bellafill or punch excision for the deeper scars that the burn had left me. Scared to death and scared of lasers, I decided to give Dr. Emer a chance at recovering my life. I went ahead and did the Fractora and PRP with Danielle, went over skin care with Candace, and went over everything and asked all the questions I could. Although I did not get to speak to Dr. Emer that much, he seemed like a nice guy and hopefully the series of treatments that he recommends will work. It has been about 3.5 weeks since the Fractora and PRP, and everything looks exactly the same or slightly worse. I knew it would take time but man....it doesnt mean its less frustrating. Tomorrow is my third treatment day with Dr. Emer and his staff, I am speaking to Jonathan to go over my treatment plans and am planning on Fractora with PRP again with ExcelV and subscion possibly. Hopefully it goes well, I am trying to be super proactive about the laser damage before it gets even worse as time goes on, which is what I have been reading on Realself reviews. I will keep on updating each treatment and how it goes so that laser damaged victims like me can have hope and judge for themselves if Dr. Emer can indeed help reverse laser damaged skin or not. I will be completely honest throughout this whole process, please message me if you need proof of pictures. People all over the world need to realize that lasers can be devastating in the wrong hands.
