There is an amazing doctor Greg Lane in Los Angeles (West Hills) who specializes in cosmetic dentistry. He was a referral from a friend after I went to another dentist who recommended I got 9 veneers, gum surgery @ 18K cost. Dr Lane suggested we do a partial veneer on my K9 and some bonding on the next tooth to make them look less full and not so sharp. He did a great job and I am very pleased with the result.

Wow, a Dentist who didn't try to talk you into far more than you needed. You lucked out with that! What is a partial veneer? Is that like a prep-less veneer? Your teeth look fabulous, btw!!

Dr Lane is famous for a conservative approach, that's why I am spreading the word. I have been quoted 8 or 9 veneers before and was told there was no way to do just one as they won't match - the proof is in the pudding - the results I got with 1 are beyond my expectations. My original tooth was shaved very slightly, so even if I lose the veneer for some reason (not likely) I will not have some ugly tooth underneath, I will just look like I was before.

How much was it to do this partial one?? My front tooth is chipped. i've tried bonding but it just keeps chipping away. But most dentists have said just one veneer won't work and will look funky.

Don't believe it, i was told the same thing and yet I have 1 veneer and it was the best decision ever. The cost was $1200 like I posted in my original profile.

Hi, Did he tell you how long the bonding color would last? I have had bonding done twice and within a year the teeth don't match at all. I've been recommended veneers instead of bonding, and I was told by the dentist that bonding over the years will wear down the teeth so that you eventually need a crown. I would love to know if that is actually true?!!

Sorry I don't visit this site very often. It has been a year and the bonding has not broken.
I am not worried about it even if it does because it's easy to re-do and low cost. Veneer is so good, I am not worried about that one at all. I feel it will never break.
