I've been talking about getting a breast reduction for years but wanted to hold off until I was done having kids. Now that we've decided to be one-and-done, I have decided to get rid of this extra weight on my chest. I am a 36 G, 5'3" and 140 lbs. I'm looking forward to being able to work out in a normal sports bra without my boobs flopping around, not having to buy bras from a specialty store, being able to wear cute bras for the first time ever, not having to buy clothes a size bigger to fit my chest and just feeling better about my body.

Thank you for joining us.  You will feel amazing once this is done and will be ready to run marathons.  How did you find your doctor?

My doctor is the one contracted with my insurance. I was a little nervous they he wouldn't be good, but his specialty is reconstruction after breast cancer so I definitely feel like I'm in good hands.

It's going to be a long month and a half until surgery.

But I'm going to take the opportunity to lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight and tone up my stomach.

I worked hard at exercise and my diet before surgery. The nurses said I had healed so well because of good diet. Lots of fruit, veg, protein and cut out wheat and sugar. Also I did lots of body brushing, boobs, tummy, everywhere! Good luck. G

I like my plastic surgeon, but...

If he calls me a "big girl" one more time I'm going to throat punch him. I'm 138 lbs and 5'3", so my BMI is in the healthy range. I know it's Los Angeles and everyone is tiny but I'm hardly a big girl.

On the plus side, he says he can get me down to a C cup and he won't have to do a FNG, which I was worried about due to size and sagging.

That sounds really inappropriate.

It's definitely a little insulting. My husband insists that he just means I'm curvy but because English isn't the Doctor's first language he's using the wrong word.
