35-year Old Mom of One Crazy Toddler - West Hills, CA

Four days post-op

Anonabewbs
I had my surgery 4 days ago. I have some bruising and it looks like I have Frankenboobs, but I am really happy with them so far. The surgeon said he took out about 250 g per side.

I had drains in for 2.5 days and they were removed on Friday. The nurse said the most I was putting out was 25cc/24 hours, which means I didn't have to keep them in for long. I was worried they would hurt to remove, but it was really just a quick pinch that stung for a moment or two and then was gone.

The post-op bra is the bain of my existence. It's itchy and tight and I can't wait until Monday when I can take it off and start wearing a sports bra. I can shower at that point as well (cue angels singing).

I don't feel like I am in a lot of pain, but I am awfully uncomfortable. I take the pain meds more just to help me sleep. I think I am just going to stick with Tylenol because (TMI alert) I haven't had a BM since Tuesday despite drinking lots of water and taking stool softener.

I am glad my parents are here to entertain my toddler, recovery would probably be more painful trying to keep a 2-year old in line.

Love my Soma minimizers because...

It cuts 3" off my bust. I'm hoping my "after" boobs will look like this without the uncomfortable, unsexy, granny bra.

I totally understand what you're saying and why you want a reduction. But I think your breast are beautiful! Women get implants to get the look and size of your breast! Please don't do it! I have large breast myself and I workout with 2bras on! Working out isn't a fashion show. I wear a "granny" bra and a sports bra over that's a size smaller (42ddd to a 40ddd) so my breast aren't "flopping" around like you said. Please believe I know what that's like. As far as wearing "non granny" bras I get really pretty sexy bras from Torrid and Lane Bryant. They are a little costly but they have a great Clarence section w the same sexy bras, they're just different colors because of season changes. Ultimately it's your decision at the end of the day, and you have to feel comfortable w your body, no one else. But you were blessed w assets that some can only dream of having. Learn to embrace and love your two beautiful blessings that you have! Either way I wish you the best in whatever you decide

Also, you mentioned your husband.. What did he have to say abt your wanting to minimize his "toys" so to speak?

My husband enjoys my large chest but understands that they cause me a lot of back pain and that I'm just not happy with the way they look.

I like my plastic surgeon, but...

If he calls me a "big girl" one more time I'm going to throat punch him. I'm 138 lbs and 5'3", so my BMI is in the healthy range. I know it's Los Angeles and everyone is tiny but I'm hardly a big girl.

On the plus side, he says he can get me down to a C cup and he won't have to do a FNG, which I was worried about due to size and sagging.

That sounds really inappropriate.

It's definitely a little insulting. My husband insists that he just means I'm curvy but because English isn't the Doctor's first language he's using the wrong word.
