I am now 8 weeks post op. I am amazed at how long recovery is. Ugh!! I think I strained a muscle in my stomach. It’s very sore to the touch and I have to wear compression or my binder so it doesn’t hurt. I am very swollen and feel tight in the stomach. Have gained 3 lbs in the last 6 days and my waist has gone up 2 inches. Not sure how I did it but is definitely frustrating not being my old self yet. My workouts are all over the board. Can’t quite figure out what I can do without it hurting yet. So I am back to taking it easy until I feel better. Other than that I am feeling great. Last week I would of told you ladies that I was loving my shape! I was so flat and felt so skinny. This week not so much.:). My breast lift is coming along. Not sure if I am in love with them yet. I was told I would wear the same bra and it wouldn’t change the size much but I definitely went down a solid size! Trying to get used to life with small boobies!:). I do like that they are lifted and the skin is tighter but hope I won’t regret not getting an augmentation. On a bright note I have a graduate this weekend, a 2nd place in state rugby champion and a 3rd place state track finish all in 7 days!:). I knew the recovery was long just didn’t realize There would be so much muscle pain along the way! Clearly I want instant results!! Lol. Just a minor setback! I am sure next week I will be feeling much better! Happy healing to everyone!

It’s a long recovery but worthwhile . I’m 2 years post and have never looked back.
May 25, 2018
I think I just need to regroup my thinking. be patient. it’s good to see and read reviews from people 1-2 years out! thanks for the support!:)
May 25, 2018
I still get some pain in my stomach while working out. It is worse on the left side. My husband said maybe I just have more scar tissue on the left side.
May 25, 2018
I just need to be patient and now it’s a work in progress. It’s just amazing how some days you wake up and think wow! then other days you wake up and think what happened! lol. I am starting to feel better. doesn’t hurt to take a deep breath so I am on the right track. I just want a good hard workout and I just need to get over that and realize that’s not realistic for me right now. :).
May 25, 2018
Yeah the recovery is definitely long. I want to workout hard too but can't get. Uggghhh. My stomach is still numb also and I wonder if I will ever get feeling back eventually all the way. I can feel some.
May 25, 2018
great! lol. I want to know that you can work out hard at this point!!:). mine is numb too. That part I am somewhat used to from one of my other surgeries. I hope I get more feeling than I have now but at least I already had that. I hope it comes back for you!

Thank you.

How is your diet? A 6 lb weight gain could be swell but also swell from too much sodium. If the pain and swell persists I would talk to the doc. At 8 weeks my workouts were slow going. Treadmill walking with an incline. Light weights. An hour or less. You will know when your body is ready for more. Hope you feel better soon! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

How have you been? I haven't posted in a while and wanted to check in with you.

I made it to 4 weeks! Had my 1 month check yesterday. Said my scars are looking great and I am released back into the wild...:). I can start working out again. Nothing crazy but ease myself back into my normal life! Can start lifting but ease myself into it. Very excited to start working out again! I definitely need the mental release that working out does for me. No more compression garment. I made it the rest of the work day without it but wore it to a track meet last night. Lol. Baby steps I guess. It’s like taking away a security blanket. He did tell me as more activity I do I will swell which is normal. I notice I am swollen right above and below my Incision which is causing my
Clothes to not fit very well yet. I think my pants hit right in the area. I have been fine in leggings as they are most comfortable on my
Incision sight. I feel great! I still
Listen to my body and don’t push myself. If I’m tired I take a nap. This is totally
Uncharacteristic for me as I am a go getter but made a commitment to myself to heal the best way I could since I was doing this for me! I love my new tummy! My breasts still
Have a little boxy look to them and are swollen under my arms. He said my breasts would continue to change the next 3 months but said my incisions on my breasts look amazing for one month. Said my stomach would continue to change the next 6 months. I am very happy I chose Dr Robbins as he is extremely skilled! This is definitely a work in progress. It takes a lot of patience. Ha! I have no incision pain but definitely have muscle pain and pain in my belly button area. He said this is due to how far apart my muscles were and now they are tight below and above my belly button. Still some fullness in my breasts like I need to nurse. I am loving the changes to my body and so excited to see what the next 3-6 months look like! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!:)

The first day my PS told me I could lose the CG, I LOST it...and boy, was I sore the next morning. I thought I was done! LOL! I am doing it in spurts now. My massage therapist says that the body gets used it and needs to be weaned off...OK, so I am weaning. I can't wait to not have to wear that leg digging thing again...but so far, I just can't go without it for more than a few hours. I joke but am serious, I didn't have pain post surgery but I feel more discomfort now that I am up moving than I did the first few weeks! Glad to see you are doing so well!!! I am 5 weeks post op today!
April 20, 2018
Ha! I knew I wasn't going to throw it away...come on right?? I have read enough reviews to know people go back to them. I don't have any leg compression just a tummy wrap so easy for me to put on and off. I can imagine you are ready to be done with that!! We will only get better and better right??:)
April 22, 2018
It's so funny, I just ordered the tummy wrap to give it a try! My flank lipo went so far down in my hips I just didn't think it would go low enough but I really am tired of the suits! My bf just yesterday stopped me while I was getting dressed and told me how absolutely hot I was looking. I stopped and looked in the mirror and was surprised at the changes! LOL!!! He isn't one to just throw out compliments so it really feels good to know it is that noticable! We are getting there!
April 20, 2018
Hi doll! you are looking amazing. 4 weeks already? you are so right each week you will see so many changes. it’s awesome!
April 20, 2018
Thank you!! Yes now my measurements can alternate by 3 inches! That swell can be crazy but already love the results so can't imagine in 4-5 months how I will feel about them!
May 6, 2018
Looks great!

May 7, 2018
Thank you! That is good to hear. You have up and down days with swelling. Some days I wake up and think wow! The next day can change in a heart beat...:)

You look wonderful! Your incisions as well! It's nice to be able to get back to working out, even if baby steps :) happy continued healing!
May 7, 2018
Thank you! It is. I am still struggling with finding out what I can and can't do. I love to follow a program and just do it but have found out that I can't do certain things so trying to find the happy medium. I definitely notice I am feeling flabby without lifting weights like I normally do. Baby steps is right!:) Thanks again!

You'll be able too soon enough! I can now without issues, but always listen to your body :)
At 1 month tho...nice and slow, your ps should be able to tell you what you can and shouldn't do. ❤

3 week post op update.

I am back at work. I have a desk job but it is amazing I find it exhausting! Lol. I have found a way to sit to relieve pressure off my back so that helps a ton. I am feeling great! No real complaints. Besides all the norm of after surgery. Swelling is there. I am trying to keep sodium to a minimum and clean eat. That seems to help. I try to make myself rest when I can. I feel lots of swelling under my arms with my breast lift. I can feel it when I put my arms at my side. Anyone else deal with this? My scars are coming along. It’s amazing how much patience you have to find when it comes to recovery...:). I am the same weight or maybe a pound less before surgery but can’t fit into my clothes yet. Good thing leggings came back!????. Here are some 3 week pics. Not sure if there is a difference or not! Happy healing to everyone!

Under my arms is where I am the most tender! I had reduction and lift with the sculpting being done under my arms so YES, I swell there and get lumpy! Tomorrow is my 1 month post op day and I am amazed out how tender I can get if I am using my arms a lot! Thank the Lord for yoga pants and leggings!!!
April 13, 2018
I didn't have any sculpting. I guess just swelling. 1 month. It's crazy how fast this time has flown! My one month is next week. Do you go in for a 1 month check? Yes!! I am living in those things!! ha! I will be so excited when I can wear a pair of jeans again!
April 13, 2018
My doctor's schedule is a little different the way he sees me from what I see on here. I had surgery on Friday was packed into my cg with foam and stuff and told not to touch it or open it until he saw me on the following Tuesday. Then I didn't see him again until day 14 where he took out my drains and told me to keep wearing CG for 24/7 for two more weeks (except for showers). Then he scheduled me for the one month mark (which is Monday so technically 1 month and 3 days!).

Congrats on making it through a work day! You look great and that’s so awesome that you can bend over and the belly is gone!! Gotta LOVE leggings!!! it’s the only thing that is comfy when you have to tuck in your spare tire! Looking forward to hoping you ladies on the flat side!!!!
April 13, 2018
Thank you!! Yes I am SO glad to have that belly gone and those muscles tightened back up!! Well stay used to leggings lady! I am 3 weeks out and am still wearing them as none of my clothes fit! Recovery is a process and sure takes patience!:) Can't wait to see your results! Your day is close!

Bless your heart, at 3 weeks I couldn't imagine going back to work, but I'm also a big baby when it comes to pain, this coming from someone who had 3 kids, no epidural, maybe that's why!
I didnt experience swelling from breast lift or at least If i did i didnt notice, my tt hurt too much to notice lol
Leggings are great! Lifesavers after tt. You look great too, happy healing doll, tgif!
April 13, 2018
I did take a full 2.5 weeks off. It was nice to have that time off and just heal! I think that has what has made my recovery easier. The patience is what is killing me! I want to see the final result! lol I am living in leggings right now!! I can't get any of my clothes on. I assume this is part of the process. Must have patience! This is coming from the girl that would peek at all of her Christmas presents because she couldn't stand the wait!! ha! Thank you! It is definitely a process. Seeing everyone else's results a few months out is reassuring!

Lol, I know what you mean! Try your best to be patient, I lived in leggings and maxi dresses for a couple of months, it can be frustrating but the end result is so worth it! Your on your way! ❤
April 13, 2018
Well I am glad to hear it took you a couple of months. You see a couple of reviews of people in their jeans in a week and I can't even fathom...:) In my head I know the end result will be amazing! I weigh about 1or 2 pounds less than before surgery but the shorts I wore the day before are 2 inches from buttoning. So in my head I know this is swelling. I have to keep telling myself that!! Thanks for the encouragement!:)
April 13, 2018
You look amazing.
April 13, 2018
Thank you!! I was reading back through our conversations. I was so glad to see it took you 3-4 months to get back in your clothes. That just reassures me I still have a ton of swelling. I really can't complain because my recovery has been pretty easy compared to some! It's that whole patience thing that gets me...lol I just have to trust the process.
April 13, 2018
Yes the patience is the big part.
