8 weeks post op

I am now 8 weeks post op. I am amazed at how long recovery is. Ugh!! I think I strained a muscle in my stomach. It’s very sore to the touch and I have to wear compression or my binder so it doesn’t hurt. I am very swollen and feel tight in the stomach. Have gained 3 lbs in the last 6 days and my waist has gone up 2 inches. Not sure how I did it but is definitely frustrating not being my old self yet. My workouts are all over the board. Can’t quite figure out what I can do without it hurting yet. So I am back to taking it easy until I feel better. Other than that I am feeling great. Last week I would of told you ladies that I was loving my shape! I was so flat and felt so skinny. This week not so much.:). My breast lift is coming along. Not sure if I am in love with them yet. I was told I would wear the same bra and it wouldn’t change the size much but I definitely went down a solid size! Trying to get used to life with small boobies!:). I do like that they are lifted and the skin is tighter but hope I won’t regret not getting an augmentation. On a bright note I have a graduate this weekend, a 2nd place in state rugby champion and a 3rd place state track finish all in 7 days!:). I knew the recovery was long just didn’t realize There would be so much muscle pain along the way! Clearly I want instant results!! Lol. Just a minor setback! I am sure next week I will be feeling much better! Happy healing to everyone!

4 week post op

I made it to 4 weeks! Had my 1 month check yesterday. Said my scars are looking great and I am released back into the wild...:). I can start working out again. Nothing crazy but ease myself back into my normal life! Can start lifting but ease myself into it. Very excited to start working out again! I definitely need the mental release that working out does for me. No more compression garment. I made it the rest of the work day without it but wore it to a track meet last night. Lol. Baby steps I guess. It’s like taking away a security blanket. He did tell me as more activity I do I will swell which is normal. I notice I am swollen right above and below my Incision which is causing my
Clothes to not fit very well yet. I think my pants hit right in the area. I have been fine in leggings as they are most comfortable on my
Incision sight. I feel great! I still
Listen to my body and don’t push myself. If I’m tired I take a nap. This is totally
Uncharacteristic for me as I am a go getter but made a commitment to myself to heal the best way I could since I was doing this for me! I love my new tummy! My breasts still
Have a little boxy look to them and are swollen under my arms. He said my breasts would continue to change the next 3 months but said my incisions on my breasts look amazing for one month. Said my stomach would continue to change the next 6 months. I am very happy I chose Dr Robbins as he is extremely skilled! This is definitely a work in progress. It takes a lot of patience. Ha! I have no incision pain but definitely have muscle pain and pain in my belly button area. He said this is due to how far apart my muscles were and now they are tight below and above my belly button. Still some fullness in my breasts like I need to nurse. I am loving the changes to my body and so excited to see what the next 3-6 months look like! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!:)

3 week post op update.

I am back at work. I have a desk job but it is amazing I find it exhausting! Lol. I have found a way to sit to relieve pressure off my back so that helps a ton. I am feeling great! No real complaints. Besides all the norm of after surgery. Swelling is there. I am trying to keep sodium to a minimum and clean eat. That seems to help. I try to make myself rest when I can. I feel lots of swelling under my arms with my breast lift. I can feel it when I put my arms at my side. Anyone else deal with this? My scars are coming along. It’s amazing how much patience you have to find when it comes to recovery...:). I am the same weight or maybe a pound less before surgery but can’t fit into my clothes yet. Good thing leggings came back!????. Here are some 3 week pics. Not sure if there is a difference or not! Happy healing to everyone!
