I had a cool sculpting procedure on my lower abdominal five days ago and is in very intense pain. I've taken Ibuprofen however, it only lasts for about 30 minutes. My doctor's office doesn't opening until in the morning. Any other suggestions for the pain? And how many days pain will last before it completes goes away? I thought this was a no pain procedure!

I had the same issue...the only thing that worked for me was using ice packs. I usually hate using ice for pain, strains and such, but it was a life saver. I didn't get the pills for nerve pain and it was pretty bad for 5 days.

I had it done 8 weeks ago and saw some results at week 3. I'm actually going to do my lower abs one more time. The pain was debilitating for about 5 days, but the results made it worth it for me. I have lots of pics posted on my profile if you want to look, also I wrote detailed posts daily for the first weeks after. This will give you an idea what I was feeling.

Awesome! How is your diet and workout plan. I had my back, side flanks, upper and lower within the last two weeks! The abdominal procedure was the beast! I have been icing like you recommended! I am about to check your page out now

Lol I have no diet or workout plan. I do watch what I eat and have just started back to cardio and weight training this week. My weight hasn't changed.
June 16, 2016
Ok same here! This week was kind of off. I didn't eat healthy at all. I'm starting a clean eating plan Sunday due to Saturday being my wedding anniversary. Also, do you drink or have you had a drink since surgery? Also is it just me my stomach seems bigger since the surgery! I'm not liking this at all! I'm trying to stay positive but haven't had anything to have a positive hope. Everything since post been negative

Thank you for commenting. I went yesterday and got the pills, however I am still having the burning sensation. I'm using the ice packs and yes it relieves the pain. How long does this last? And my stomach looks bigger since I had the procedure. Today marks week 1. How long ago did you have the procedure done?

I wore a girdle to compress the area and it worked. My pain stopped on day 5, so i guess is different for everyone. Good luck
June 17, 2016
Thank you for replying! My pain started it on day 5
June 17, 2016
I had the whole body vibration done for nerve pain and it worked. My pain stopped day 5

My is easing up this is day 9. I still have not seen in results. I guess too soon

I had pain too! Lots of sharp shooting needles like pain. I constantly alternated two ice packs on my tummy to numb the pain. I tied it with a scarf around my tummy so even when I had to get up & walk I had it in me. It was very helpful. Also my dr prescribed a medication that was supposed to calm the nerve endings. But honestly, it didn't help my pain go away! Even when he upped the dose to 4 tabs/ day! Ice was my friend for 4 weeks.

Yes!!! The ice pack was my friend as well!!! I'm week 3 now and all the pain has ceased.

I had the procedure done June 7, 2016 nine days ago. The hot stabbing pain has just about ceased. I don't see much change in appearance actually abdominal looks bigger than what I started off with. I guess patient is a virtue. We will see!

Same here.
June 17, 2016
Hopefully we will see results soon! What day did you have your procedure done?
June 17, 2016
I had 8 treatments done three weeks ago. The areas (abs, tummy, flanks) that were sucked into that machine are still painful to the touch. It's simply not true what they say about no downtime! I haven't been able to run in three weeks. I tried with an Ace bandage wrapped around my belly, but that only caused a prickly itch. :( I was also bigger after I got it done up until a few days ago... I noticed a slight difference. Hubby says he's starting to be able to tell. My weight is the same, which I expected since I've pretty much been sedentary since then. I did swim though... that felt good. Anyway, at week 3 I still have numbness in all the areas, painful to the touch, and can't run. But I can see SOME differences...

Thanks all for replying! You guys have giving me a little more hope!!!

I think some of the reviews I read stated that after the procedure, the treated area would be swollen. I don't think mine mine swollen I think I just felt like I was because it was so sensitive. I still got my same clothes when I left and the following days. But I felt like I was bigger because of the sensitivity.

And yes, patience is a virtue! It will slowly get better! Just hang in there!

Thank you !!!

I got the procedure done two days ago. I thought i just had very low pain tolerance because I almost cried when my stomach was sucked into the machine. And the massage?? OMG! That was torture. I stayed home from work the day of the procedure and yesterday. I'm still hurting and extremely bloated, which i expected from reading the reviews and also the tech told me i would be swollen for a few days. It hurts to move. I had lower and upper abs done. I can't wait to start to see results.
June 17, 2016
Me either! Hopefully it will get better soon!!!
June 17, 2016
I had to remove it and redo it because it was so uncomfortable on my lower ab! Not completely true about no pain or downtime
June 23, 2016
How are you doing now? I'm 8 days post procedure and am still sore and bloated. But not as much as I was a few days ago. Thank god! However, i notice at night that my shooting pains are worse, so i wrapped an ace bandage around my upper abs and slept fine. I'm so ready to start seeing results.
June 23, 2016
I'm doing fine now!!!! But when I tell you that the 5-10th days were tough!!! The swelling has gone down! I'm three weeks post and I do see some results! I'm about to post a picture .
June 23, 2016
Glad i'm almost finished with the recovery pain. I'm looking forward to seeing results. thanks for posting pics.
June 23, 2016
I know you can not!!

I had cool sculpting on the abs as well. First procedure went smoothly, only pain was the 'thawing' massage that really was excruciating. Second go round didn't go quite so smoothly. The thawing massage was so painful I felt nauseous and had to get up and walk around. Felt okay the next day, but two days after the nerve pain started and was the worst thing I've ever experienced. Pins and needles pain that really never subsides. Prescription meds did not help this! It had to run its course which was about six days. Sorry you've experienced so much pain as well. My doctor never mentioned the possibility of such pain. There's no way to predict who it occurs with who escapes. Results were okay, not stellar. I would definitely never do this again! Hope your results kicked in and you're pleased with it :).

Thanks for replying ! I definitely will not be having a second treatment! I'm really pray this one treatment works!
