This summer I decided to get liposuction. I was sick of the extra few nasty pounds in my derriere area and thighs. It has bugged me forever. I met with 2 different cosmetic surgeons about liposuction and spoke with other dr. offices over the phone. Many dr.’s said they would not remove fat from my buttock. They said that they would only touch the thighs area. Also, some of the offices didn’t even provide pictures of work the dr. had done.
After months of searching, I called the dr. office of Dr. William LoVerme in Massachusetts. I’d seen photos on his website of people that he had worked on the buttock area for and they had significant results because of him - the type of results I was hoping to get. I told the nurse on the phone that I had a $4,000 budget and she said that the dr. might be able to work with that. She had me send him a picture of the area. He emailed me back within the hour and said there was hope of staying within my budget. I then set up a consultation. A consultation is where the dr. examines the area and tells you what to expect from the procedure and how much it is going to cost. Dr. LoVerme said he was able to wave the anesthesia fee which was $700 because I told him I didn’t want to go to sleep. While I was there, the nurse also showed me an entire photo album of impressive liposuction jobs done by Dr. LoVerme. When I left the dr.’s office and walked to my car, I couldn’t stop thinking, ‘This is a dream!’ I was so happy. Finally, I found a dr. who was willing to do the procedure the way I wanted!
The procedure ended up being an hour and a half, like they told me at the consultation, but I was so happy to be there, that it only felt like 20 minutes. Also, I felt absolutely NO PAIN or discomfort the entire time. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Also, because the anesthesia fee was waved, the entire procedure only cost me $4,000 (right on budget). In addition, Dr. LoVerme took fat out of the thighs AND buttock leaving me with a beautiful new shape.
Now, I have so much more confidence. I love getting dressed in the morning.
This entire process has taught me that women have more fat in some areas of the body, due to hormones and it CANNOT be exercised away. It has also taught me that there is technology out there that can fix our problems. However, technology ISN’T enough. You need the RIGHT dr. who knows how to use this technology and is willing and CAPABLE to go the extra miles to give you the look that you want. Dr. LoVerme is the epitome of ALL this. I will never go to another dr. for liposuction or any of my cosmetic needs.
