50 Year Old, Corrective Eyelid Surgery - Wellesley, MA

By way of background, 5 years ago I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty done by a "Board Certified Plastic Surgeon". My motivation at the time was to look less tired and more refreshed. Unfortunately, the result of that first surgery was noticeable eye assymetry, which made me extremely self conscious, as well as a look that was very different from my previous look. Another result of the first surgery was the inability to close my left eye entirely which made it necessary to wear something over my eyes at night to keep them closed and allow me to sleep. In the beginning and even several years hence, the plastic surgeon told me that the problem would correct itself over time. After a while I realized that assessment was a pipe dream and would not happen. I was very discouraged, not realizing (and not being informed by the plastic surgeon) that it could actually be corrected by a doctor who specializes in eyelids and knows what they are doing. I was also gun shy to get more surgery because of the very bad first experience I had with this 'Board Certified Plastic Surgeon'. I finally started doing research on the Internet and found Dr. Kapadia on this website. I read all the wonderful reviews and had a glimmer of hope. My initial consultations and then the corrective surgery itself have been an absolute dream compared to my first surgery experience. Dr. Kapadia is a master at his craft of oculoplastic surgery. He has restored the symmetry to my eyes and I now can also close my left eye entirely again. He has also done fillers and botox injections for me with fantastic results. I am beyond thrilled with how he fixed the botched eye job of another surgeon thereby helping me overcome my self consciousness, as well as restoring the ability to close my eye properly.
