There is Improvement in Appearance, but Not Completely So (Yet) -- Juvederm Ultra - Wellesley, MA
ORIGINAL POST
I saw Dr Kapadia on March 31st for the first time....
$700
I saw Dr Kapadia on March 31st for the first time. I went to see him because I was concerned with my bruising and swelling from the previous procedure. In my previous procedure I got 1 syringe of Juvederm Ultra Plus by Dr Bentkover. Apart from bruising/swelling and immediately visible irregularity, my upper lip got more than my bottom. I absolutely didn't like that.
After he reassured me that all seems fine, I booked another appointment in two weeks. I wanted to fix my top lip, and to add more in my bottom lip.
Unfortunatelly, he wasn't able to fix my top lip just by adding more product. In order to do that, he would need to dissolve it completely, and to start all over. So, I decided to leave it like that for another month when I should be ready for some more product. He added more in my bottom lip instead.
Well... It has been a bumpy ride all over again. I got bruised again... It is happening ONLY on my right side of my face which fascinates me quite a bit. It has been almost 3 weeks since I got injected, and I'm still healing.
Once this review gets approved, I will post my daily progress.
Thanks for reading!

Congrats! Please do post pictures. I think there aren't enough pictures with the entire process. Thank you very much!

I think ultra plus is not suitable for lips! I happened to me the same and it took month to go away!

Before.
When taking pictures, it is all about that angle. As you can see, my top lip wasn't just bigger, but kinda pushed in front of the bottom one.

Hello dear! I kinda have the same problem... my upper lip is bigger than my lower lip. I don't like it at all! Had my procedure 3 days ago... so I hope there is just a lot of swelling.. but I have no bruising in my upper lip, just in the bottom one, just like you.
Not sure about what to do.. I am considering dissolving the upper lip and leave the bottom lip whit the filler. what do you suggest from your experience?
I was definable looking for a natural look, and at this day I just got the ugly duck lip.. I am so sad... and panicking a bit.. a bit more actually..

3 days after the procedure is really too early... You should wait at least a week before you judge. I know, I know exactly how you feel. Look at my pics! I looked like a complete freak both times. I was so depressed that I can't even describe... But it settled down 2 weeks after, and it is still settling... So, try to be patient, and ice the area. I don't know anything about dissolving. So, I really can't share anything about it...

they can dissolve some fillers with hyalauronase.(sp).... If not maybe add a little more to the bottom lip to even them out..that is what i did

Day 1.
So upset over bruising and swelling, but happy with fullness and proportion.

That's exactly what happened to me. I think its so hard not to hit blood vessels in the lips as they are so vascular. My bruise faded over the next 2 days. I think we must just bruise easily?

Might be... You are right. But 2 days is nothing comparing to my hematoma (obviously) that lasted for 2 weeks. Just crazy...
