Dr Sartor n his staff was amazing. I had been wanting to have this procedure for over a year now.Ive known several ppl to have had this done by Dr Sartor.Initially I was nervous but anxious n excited all in one. My weight has been a concern of mine only because I'm so compact(short)-lol. I'm skating on 5 feet. It seems like the weight piles on u overnight.Ive always been really active (working out, veggie eater). Its like I woke up n I was 50-75 pds heavier than normal. Well I got a little lazy after i had my son almost 5 yrs ago. So I know I needed the extra push n motivation.I didn't realize how quickly it piled on n come pile off. But o well I am wanting a better mentally, physically and emotionally life. I had to make a change. They gave me the tool and u bet I'm using it. Sometimes we have to find ourselves inside ourselves - u know find the inner you that makes u happy. I initially wanted to go to Mexico to hv procedure done but the thought of being away from my baby n family was too much for me. And I didn't wanna be lost if any complications came about. So I choose to go to my hometown n have start the process. Recovery was very manageable, I pushed myself to walk and do breathing treatments. I got SLEEVED March 4 2020. My starting weight was 199pds.Same weight I was went I had my son -smh-gotz to be more careful. Day of surgery I was 195. My current weight now is 158.6.(as of Aug 7,2020).I walk and or jog 3-6 miles daily, take my centrum n biotin 10,000 mg and drink plenty of water. My ideal weight is 120.Im getting there,n I'm not stopping anytime soon.I prayed about it ,prayer was delivered n I'm on a mission to be healthy once again. No complications what so eva n great support team. I didn't tell anyone but my mom because I didn't want to hear all the what if's or the try more harder. She was there with me day of, made sure I didn't hv any worries. My son came down with me n my mom husband kept my son. My son was well taken care of while I stayed overnight.I wouldn't hv had it any other way.Had the procedure on a Wednesday (up walking the same day few hours later)n was back home Saturday (drove 2 1/2hrs away) and felt great. I had to relearn how to not eat as much, chew to mush and take my time. Though I was in liquids for a month, the smell of homecook food would make me gag. This procedure is definitely a game changer for long term success.

I am waiting for my surgery date, finally! I have been nicotine free for almost a full year. I quit the day after my Mom's birthday on October 15, 2019. In her honor, she died from cancer. Currently I am 228 and would love to get 110 pounds off. Having sleeve done 80 miles from home. One day in the hospital and one more night at a motel close by. My Fiance' is going to be with me through it all. He loves me the way I am, but is so supportive of my decision to get this weight off for my own health benefits. Stopping smoking was only the beginning. It was hard after smoking for over 40 years. I did gain weight and my blood pressure medicine also added around 10 pounds more. I have confidence in my surgeon since this is all he does and has performed hundreds of gastrectomies. Will post more when I know more.
