I'm writing this review to help anyone out there who might be in the same boat. These problems can cause SUCH extreme heart ache.
I got remarried about 7 years ago (had 2 kids with long, complicated deliveries with hubby #1).
Hubby #2 and I waited to have intercourse until we were married. On our wedding night, he had a tough time maintaining an erection. I was terribly self-conscious and heartbroken. I cried, as this was already a sensitive top due to hubby #1 not being interested in sex during our 11 year marriage. I was heartbroken at the thought of having more sexual issues. I thought that he was not attracted to me. My husband finally told me that there wasn't a lot of friction when we had intercourse, so that is why he had a difficult time holding interest. I felt like a broken, useless woman (yes, dramatic..but after 11 years with very minimal sex with husband #1, I was desperate to have a healthy sexual relationship).
I made an appointment with an OBGYN. She told me that I looked fine and normal for having several children. Again, I was terribly upset because things were NOT fine at home. I then went to a physical therapist who said my pelvic area was misaligned and gave me e etcised to do at home. The PT didn't seem to help at all.
Eventually, we figured out a few positions that provided enough friction to have intercourse. We managed and it was sort of ok.
Fast forwRd a few years and I was prego with baby #3. I had the baby, and my husband literally had no interest in being intimate with me. I could tell that when he initiated sex, it was out of obligation so that I wouldn't feel bad :(
I saw several doctors and was told that I had 2 different kinds of prolapses. The one involving my bladder wasn't too bad and the posterior area (rectocele) was worse and was causing my vagina to be a huge cavernous hole.
I felt relieved that they found something wrong, and wanted to ha e the surgery asap to correct it. We had horrible insurance at the time and the deductible was going to be 8k! We couldn't afford to do surgery.
My little one is mow 3 years old and I just found out that surgery can be done in-office under local anesthesia. I paid $5200 out of pocket for the procedure 4 days ago.
So far. I'm SO pleased!i have very little pain and feel like I will bounce back very quickly. I followedy doctor's recommendations to stay 100% on track with pain meds and stool softeners. It really isn't bad at all!
She has me on a steroid for swelling, muscle relaxants (which help a ton with discomfort), Percocet, an antibiotic and a stool softener.
I took s peek at my vagina, and it looks SO good!!! I didn't do any contouring with my lips etc...strictly for function. I can visually see now how it had all been hanging out and how is better.
I'm e cited to have sex in 4-6 weeks. Can wait to be normal and healthy again in my female parts.

Great bedside manner. Very caring and educates her patients. I actually skipped using insurance and paid her out-of-pocket because I felt so comfortable with her.
