I had my breast augmentation completed by the same dr so I know that he does an excellent job. The surgery date is scheduled for May 21st. The only thing I am super anxious about is that I won't like the results. Will my stomach be flat???!!?? with this kind of money I sure hope so. And once all the swelling and pain is gone...will i like the results. Those are some major concerns that I am putting all into my surgeons hands. I have always had problems with my stomach and I used to gain weight and lose weight but I have kept off my weight but just can't get rid of the stomach. Don't get me wrong. I am not 100% perfect with my eating and could definitely eat more salads but my stomach is just so ishy!

So my kids ages are 6 and 3 years old. Reading tons is reviews it looks like it takes most people 10-21 days before they are really feeling better after surgery. I have 5 days before I am bring mom again. Am I expecting to be full if energy? No. But I need to be able to be doing most things in my own. This has me nervous and I am not going to be back to being "mom" as I need to be. Plus, my hubby will be back to work after 5 days so there is that major factor. Kinda nervous I won't be able to perform. But we will see.

I have the same concerns as you. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I have four children Who are all adults now....I'm 41. so that tells you I started very young and my stomach has been horrible since the first one.so I have waited for about 23 years wanting the stomach to go away. I don't even remember what it was like to not have it. When I go for my pre-op Monday I'm going to reiterate how important it is to me to have a flat stomach and a smaller waist. I want to make sure my expectations are not Unrealistic.

I am 5 days today. The pain is mostly gone it's more the being uncomfortable in the binder and drain. You back will hurt from trying to hold yourself straight. However I will be honest I have been basically been taking care of myself since day two. I do not have little kids so the only lifting I had to do was to pick up my little dog who won't go out without being taken out. You will want to make sure you have everything close by so you don't have to get up and down so much. the worse is getting up in the morning, cause you muscles are stiff your hips are weak so it's not painful just so awkward. My best advise is to not milk it. you will get exhausted after being up for an hour to two the first could days and a shower will take every bit of energy you have. I wish you well and a fast recovery. Oh and one thing that I found helpful was when you laying back down, instead of going butt first and trying to scoot back try getting in the bed on your knees and turning around. it helped me more and actually got me in a better sitting up position other wise I kept laying down flatter and that's not good.

That is all good information! I am going to keep my game face on and use some inner strength. I had 2 c sections to compare the pain to so I know. It will be rough and I think my son will still be in school so that will be helpful! Thanks for your comments!!

3 weeks away! and I am beginning to feel anxious. hope these 3 weeks will fly like the wind. I decided to have 1 more consultation next week. I originally was going to have this surgery done first of the year but postponed it. so I just want to go back in and make sure I have all my questions answered.

Hey Hun. I think recovery with everyone is different. I was surprised that it took me 3 weeks to feel somewhat normal, comfortable and painless. I have had other surgeries in the past and this was by far the most difficult and I hardly took any pain pills at that. lol. It's scary and nerve racking when you don't know what to expect, but you will do just fine. The pain is bearable for the most part and the results are so worth it. Good luck and keep us posted :-) if I could recommend anything it would be to keep your incision bandaged as long as possible. I chose to do this up to 3 weeks and I have had amazing result with the healing on my scar. I have read many stories about woman having their incision rub against their garment and it either getting an infection or reopening from the friction. Who knows though. Good luck :-)
