Day 1 post op.
Today is the first day post op. It has been a tough time for me. I have been experimenting pain. I am so so swollen and bruised. It's unbelievable. I feel awful. I can't eat or drink normally. It's really hard to move my mouth. My lips feel a ton of pressure. A sore and uncomfortable sensation. I wish Dr. Wise had given me a cell number to contact him just incase. I m scared to move the corners of my mouth where the stitches are located. I'm icing it on and off. I have been crying in pain. I'm extremely swollen. I look terrible.
I will keep you guys posted and update this constantly. The most important thing is the end result.

I'm right there with you! I had my permalip implants 4 and a half hours ago. Feeling quite a bit of pain. Took an oxycodone and I feel the effects of the drug but it hasn't done much for the pain. I took the same pain med after my tummy tuck and I felt less discomfort! I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I'm not too swollen, but very bruised. We'll see what tomorrow brings. At least I have a few vacation days left at work so I don't have to have people see me for a few days. Wow this really hurts!!!

Ok so today Im still super swollen it's no joke. It looks worst in person. I feel better pain wise. The lips are a very sensitive area so I'm trying to be patient and take it one day at a time I do notice some type of improvement. Trying to stay positive.

How are you feeling??Mine was just like this.Incredibly swollen for weeks then terrible bruising.Hang in there!

Thanks. I'm actually having it done next Wednesday. A bit nervous. Taking a few days off, hopefully I won't look too bad when I go back to work! Thanks for your support. I'm sure I will let you know how it's going.
So sorry this is a hard recovery! Your lips do look very tight and uncomfortable. Fingers very tightly crossed for you that all settles down soon. do you have good pain meds and are you staying on top of taking them?
