Today was the day. As most people are, I was apprehensive and nervous going in. The facility is beautiful, clean, sterile looking. The assistant leads you into a room take to before photos. Then your brought to the room where the surgery is performed. I was prepared for a operating room table but was surprised by a chair more like in a dentist office. There was a big screen TV on the wall with the Today show on. I got comfortable in the chair with the pillow and blanket the nurse gave me. The doctor came in to say hi and the nurse gave me a cup with pills in it and before I knew it was done. I recommend having someone stay with you because there are pills and ointments and icing that needs to be done and your sort of out of it. I was lucky enough to have my daughter in law tend to me the whole first day. There isn't a lot of pain more like sore especially the incision. This was day one..

What kind of pill did they give you? do you know how long the surgury took? did he transfer any fat?

Haha no pills.. What I did was take the recommended vitamin A and C for a month before my surgery. I followed the pre and post op instructions pretty much to a T. Especially pre.. I was brought into the surgery room at 8:30 am and next thing I knew I was being wheeled out to the car and that was about 11:00am. I don't know for sure about transfer of fat but what I do know is they removed almost 2" of fat from under each eye, and that some fat was stitched in place so there wouldn't be a hollow look. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.. I feel like it was worth it.. even during times of crankiness..

Hi thank you for replying! If you did have fat transferred, you would have probably saw a incision make
And a bruise around your hips. So I'm guessing you went under general? I'm thinking about getting my lower eyelids done, but it would be under local. Apparently it's common to get eyes done under local. Did removing the stitches hurt? How long did he say it would take for the scars to fade?

I do have an incision and I was put under by local. The cool thing about the stitches is that they dry up and fall off. I did go into the office 8 days after and they just clipped the stitches that were loose. I took a tweezer this morning and gently pulled off other loose ones. They said it would take a few months to be completely healed. I did ask about Mederma for the scars and they said it wouldn't be necessary, so I'll wait for my one month check up to see. I hated my bags and was willing to do whatever it took. I just didn't allow myself to over think it. Once I made the decision that was that..

Day 3

Swelling and cleopatra look but no pain at all. A little bruising. Frozen peas in individual baggies work best for swelling. And sleeping propped up also helps.
