Hi I had my stitches out day 7 I've never heard of leaving them in 12 days as I've heard it can leave more scaring. If your worried maybe get a second opinion just to be sure. Other than that you look like your healing really well :))
I did plenty of research before i had the procedure ,and was expecting to have my sutures out sooner, i called the surgery department and talked to the head staff person, she explained that this is the norm for their patients , and that they had not experienced , any patients with suture scars. My stitches are very fine and very loose tied, it appears that my incision are healed quite nicely, just thought this was odd, and as far as my bad, i never thought to ask about the sutures removal time when I consulted with the doc.( to his credit , he has 20 plus years experience doing eyelids )

I think the norm is 5-7 days. Any longer might leave stitch marks. That said, I had mine out after 5 and I am noticing stitch marks. Additionally, my scars look thick in places. Maybe keeping then sutured longer would have kept them from healing that way? Do you have any pictures with your eyes shut? They look pretty good open. Good luck with your healing!

My surgeon wanted to wait 10 days to take out the stitches, but my eyes felt so tight and were getting tighter that I couldn't stand it any longer, he took them out on day 7. I have hear of stitches staying in 10 days before. If the stitches are under the skin they won't leave marks.

I'm only 8 days post so it's not great. We just have to be patient. And heck I still look better than having those wretched eye bags!! I feel like everyone sees my surgery. I have a job interview for promotion so pray it tones down before April 2. How do you feel as a man doing this? Are you as paranoid as us girls?
I am nervous about how it will heal and how I look during that process ,but I am trying to remain positive ! Most people seem to heal fine and look much better for doing it and you like like you will heal very well :)

3 and 1/2 weeks and eyelids still a little tight ,...

3 and 1/2 weeks and eyelids still a little tight , mostly at night, and a little sore but dont seem infected or anything, any one else experience similar symptoms at 3 or 4 weeks?

My swelling is almost completely gone and my eyes have opened up more. starting to feel better about the operation And also my Field of vision seems better
