How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

7 days postop
I have a waist! It wasn't as painful as I anticipated. I quickly learned to get up by rolling onto my side and then pushing up off the mattress. I had no need for a walker but Netflix was my friend for the first 5 days!!
4 days post
I was to go to the doctor 2 days post for a look. I was getting ready for my first shower and my first look at my abdominal area as I was taking off my binder. Well, next thing I knew I was buck naked and passed out on the bathroom floor!! My sister was with me and freaking out!!! God, I hate how fainting makes you feel!!
Anyway, other than feeling righteously nauseous with a new bruise on my arm from hitting it on the way down I was fine. We made it to the appointment where the nurse pronounced my incision area wonderful. We kept the drains in for another 24 hours and they are now out.
I am shocked at how good I feel. I have successfully moved my bowels daily since 2 days post and am only taking extra strength Tylenol at bedtime.
My biggest complaint is the swelling and full feeling that I am experiencing. I can see that I will be much flatter and I love that the roll of fat is missing from just below my bustline...my boobs love not touching that fat roll.
What do you think about lymphatic massage therapy to help relieve the swelling?

24 hours post surgical
Resting comfortably with two drains and a pain pump both which will be removed tomorrow. Haven't peeked yet....will look tomorrow when I shower.
So far, I am surprised at how good I feel.
