I workout pretty much 6 days a week...

I workout pretty much 6 days a week cardio/strength, but there are areas of my body that will never respond to workout - namely areas above that I had worked on - also I'm 50 and had 2 kids. I had vaser lipo March 1 in the morning and was able to move up and about once I got home, sit up and walk around to use bathroom - which is what they want u to do. I was out of it following IV anesthesia and painkillers. My doc gave me tylenol w/codeine which was plenty - I only used it the 1st night and alternated with xtra strength tylenol and advil. The following morning I had a post-surgical appt. with my doc and I was able to walk to my dr's office which is only 15 mins from where I live - no problem, mind you still under effects of pain meds. I did a few errands and walked home with a friend and stayed in for the day, able to move around apt. easily. I did have a lot of swelling, plus the compression garment they fit you in and these rubber pads in the surgical areas kind of make it more bulkier. I was able to wear loose drawstring workout pants and jacket. Friday I walked to Whole Foods about an hour walk there and back. Legs still swollen. When I got home I stayed in, but moved around apt. and elevated legs to reduce swelling. I also started taking arnica pellets & started gentle massage of legs, abs and waist area, flanks with arnica gel, have been doing this every day since Friday and it has helped reduce & break up bruising, but also is soothing, don't rub deeply or hard, just gentle motions to rub gel in. My doctor told me to elevate legs for swelling and seeping, my left leg seeped more than right, but today is Monday and seeping has pretty much stopped. Doc said fluid seeping out reduces bruising. Legs are still swollen (all the way to knees), but not as much. I'm also wearing compression socks 'cause my calves and feet are still a little swollen too. I take 5 tiny arnica pellets 3x a day dissolve under tongue. Today is my 1st day back at work. I biked into the office today, it was a tough ride, my legs don't have all their strength yet and felt tired. I may just do some gentle yoga today to stretch. Each day, feel better, but also feel bruising more since I'm only taking xtra strength tylenol as needed. Stomach not a lot of bruising, flanks and waist area are tender to touch. Even though still swollen, I can see difference in areas and looking forward to when fully healed. I would purchase 2nd compression garment so you u have xtrra to alternate with, but they do dry quickly if you handwash and hang dry. I have follow-up with dr in 2 weeks on March 16.
