One Year Tuckiversary

Hi there - just thought I'd check in to say this is still the best thing I've ever done! A year later I'm still loving the flat belly. Scar is still visible but fading, and I'm going in next week to finally get my dog ears fixed! I'd planned to go last fall but had some other health issues that got in the way, so here we are. Same health issues kept me out of the gym as much as I'd like, so that's the big goal this year! Still can't believe I fit into size 6 and 8s - sizes I haven't worn in years. Last summer I loved swimsuits for the first time since college and even bough a bikini. Crazy! I'll try to snap some photos and post - maybe I'll update after the dogears next week.
Bottom line - DO IT! 150% worth it - no regrets whatsoever!

6 weeks Post Op

Checking in - mostly doing great!!! I've been given the go ahead to leave the binder behind, but I'm still wearing it somewhat. Mostly at night, sometimes during the day (especially at the gym, where I'm doing light cardio.) The past three days my belly has felt *really* tight in a way it has not since early on, but PS said it is due to losing the binder and nerves continuing to "wake up" following the surgery. Only other slight complaint is that my lower back is still numb and itchy from the lipo (a weird combo, but there you have it.) Another funny thing - I can tell that not only did my PS "pull down" but all UP - because I'm gonna have to laser some hair at some point that is now right under my scar that was once...further below! LOL Now for the great stuff - I simply cannot believe the clothes that I am able to wear! I've never felt this good about my body, ever. My size 10 jeans are loose and the 8s fit. I'm wearing size S and sometimes M tops - and am pulling off things like t-shirt dresses and fitted tees that I haven't dared to try since before my first child was born in 2004. So happy. People are noticing too - I can't tell you how many people have commented or asked how much weight I've lost. It is really just awesome in every way. I'd say I'm 97% back to normal, minus the "no ab workout of any kind" word from my doctor. I don't go back until the 3 month mark!! I am so happy that I took the plunge and did this! It is 100% worth it all. Even the 25 days of the stupid drain! :) If you're on the fence - GO FOR IT. I'm so motivated to work out and I can't wait to try on swimsuits for the summer! Funny thing I've noticed while looking at clothes though - it is HARD to stop shopping like a fat girl. LOL I am drawn to flowy, loose tops that hide belly and have made a vow to myself that I am NOT buying another single thing that hides my belly. I've made myself try on tops that I thought NO WAY will I pull that off - and guess what??? I can!!! The flat side - - is awesome. :)

Does this look like a Seroma?

Remember me? The chick that couldn't get rid of the drain until the 23rd day? That was a few days ago. Today is four weeks exactly and when I just got ready for bed I saw this. What do you think? I have worn my binder pretty much every minute except for when I've been in the shower.
