One month out
I'm mostly back to normal. Less fatigue, and I think I'm ready to start running again. I love the way it looks- could not be happier. I guess there is still some swelling but the worst is gone (gets worse in the evening). I still have some signficant discomfort, though: skin sensitivity, burning sensation when I stretch or twist my torso, and definite soreness between belly button and rib cage. With luck this will all go away over the next few weeks. So: worth it for sure, but don't under-estimate the pain and difficulty of the recovery process.
Day 14
Well, the good news is that I am no longer miserable in terms of pain or discomfort. And it looks pretty good, though I am still definitely swollen. All the bruising is gone, and honestly even the incisions blend right in: I have plenty of freckles, moles and random little scars, so they don't seem noticeable.
The bad news: I had hoped that at two weeks I'd be feeling completely back to normal in terms of energy level and physical comfort level. Nope. My skin still feels super-sensitive and there is some discomfort/occasional twinges, and my abdomen and back still feel sore -- sort of a deep feeling of muscle soreness, as if I had been standing up or walking for twelve straight hours. I feel worn out very quickly. I had hoped to be able to do things like start running by now but it's definitely too soon.

Day 10 - much less pain, but still plenty of discomfort
I think day 7 marked the first time I could roll over in bed without a lot of pain, and the first day my husband could hug me without me yelping in agony. Now, day 10, I'd say it's mostly discomfort rather than pain. It's sort of random discomfort: sometimes I'm itchy, sometimes stiff and tight and sore, sometimes it feels like there's a sore muscle covered by a block of wood covered by numb skin with a weird itchy spot somewhere in the middle. But I'm mostly back to full funciotning. Been back at work since day 5. Most of the bruising is gone.
I'm still swollen, but even with the swelling my clothes fit better than before the procedure and already I have a much more defined waist. The thing I find weirdest/most unpleasant is the way the swelling and lumps and indentations move around.... for an hour it feels like theire's s chunk of hood under my armpit, then that becomes soft and there's a weird lump over my rib, then that changes. My PS says this is all normal, and I should wear the garment for another week and then can stop unless I want to keep wearing it.
Overall still feeling like I am going to end up being very pleased with the results. But the one thing I would remind anyone considering this: it's surgery. You will HURT. Do not expect to be feeling just fine a couple of days after the procedure. Maybe if you are a Martian you will feel fine, or if you just had a small area done, but if you get several areas done you will spend at least four or five days feeling like you were run over by a tripuck, and maybe more like two weeks.
