Why is this so different from tray 16???
My teeth shifted back in just a few weeks. I ended up getting braces.
Oh. You didn't wear retainers after Invisalign treatment??
My treatment wasn't finished. The aligners didn't fit correctly. I called the orthodontist to see what my options were but she kept putting it off and putting it off. By the time I went in this is what I had. I ended up getting braces from a different orthodontist.
Oh my. I'm so sorry that invisalign wasn't effective. Have you ask for a refund?? May i ask what braces are you getting? Damon braces??

Conclusion

So, I guess not everyone is a good candidate for Invisalign. I had a lot of issues with grinding my teeth, and my aligners popping out of my mouth at night. As a result, my teeth would shift. After a while, the aligners no longer fit. When the aligners didn't fit properly, my teeth would shift more. Eventually, I went back to the orthodontist and asked if there were any other options. I had already started over once before, and she said I could basically pay to start over again or pay for metal braces. I abandoned Invisalign, and within a month, my teeth looked exactly like they had when I started the process. Very disappointed, but moving ahead. I saw a different orthodontist who offered "invisible" fixed braces (ceramic tooth colored brackets) and will move forward with that.

I am wondering though...After you were finished with your treatment, did your ortho give you a retainer to wear forever? This is what I have been told would happen.
I never finished. Basically, the ortho gave me the option of starting over again and I said no. She never even took the attachments off, the new ortho had to do that.
