Successful Pre-Op - Washington, DC

UPDATE! I am about a month post op and I am so impressed with my results I'm updating my review to help anyone who has thought about breast augmentation surgery but has reservations. DO IT. First, Dr. Chang made me feel so comfortable during my sizing and pre op that I didn't even take my relaxing pill the day of surgery. I was calm and comfortable and the surgery was performed at Sibley hospital where I might add, the staff are incredible. I showed up two hours early, signed in and was shortly taken back to change into a gown. I was taken to a pre operative room where an IV of normal saline was started and a pre op questionnaire was conducted. I met with anesthesiologist, the nurse anesthetist and Dr Chang. He marked my chest and that's really the last thing that I remember.  I came out of surgery in no pain or discomfort, just wanting to get home. I changed back into my clothes and my boyfriend who accompanied me to the hospital drove me home. Dr Chang has an incredible 24 hr recovery process that I wanted to be sure I followed. So we got home I napped for a few hours and then got up and walked around the house doing normal activities. I had trouble lifting my arms or bearing any weight so my boyfriend helped me out of bed and off the toilet. 
I ate lunch on my own and showered on my own. We had friends over and I was completely comfortable taking ibuprofen around the clock per Dr changs instructions. That night we went out to dinner, at a lovely restaurant a few blocks from the house. 
I was told day 2 would be the hardest- I didn't find this to be the case. I stayed on top of the ibuprofen and performed the exercises I was instructed to do. I WENT TO WORK AROUND 1 o'clock pm. Yes, the day after surgery I went to work. I was also told that they may look "high and tight." My right breast was a little tight but after a few days both breasts looked natural and soft. My friends didn't believe how recently I had my surgery. 
Needless to say my recovery here on out was a breeze. 
Day 3 post op I went to a local horse race event and spent the entire day drinking and socializing. 
I have not had any postoperative complications. A month out now my boobs are completely healed, the scar is barely visible, and they look absolutely stunning. My friends are obsessed. My boyfriend calls them movie quality boobs. I cannot say enough about dr chang. He and his 24 hr recovery program are absolutely incredible. I will recommend Dr Chang 10/10 times and will see him for any future plastic desires. This is a procedure I had thought about doing for 7 years and I believe that's because I was waiting to find Dr. Chang. My confidence in my clothes has increased ten fold. I couldn't be happier. If you are like me and this is something you've been considering please go see Dr. Chang!

I am scheduled for a breast augmentation with doctor Chang tomorrow morning and I've never felt more at ease. I had my pre op appointment on Monday the 15th. Dr. Chang first asked if I had any questions. It was important to me to be able to ask all the questions I had. Dr Chang performed some measurements of my chest that helps to guide an appropriate size for the implants. We then tried on sizers and I was able to see how the implants would look in my clothes. I was struggling between two sizes and felt like Dr Chang provided me with all the information I needed to make an appropriate decision. Obviously I have an idea in my head of what I would want and along with Dr Changs expertise, I feel confident in my decision about the size of the implants. Dr Chang answered all my questions about surgery, the surgical bra, activities that I should and should not do post op. I left the office feeling confident that I had all the information I needed to have a safe successful surgery and I'm really excited to see the results.
