Update Oktober 7

I continue to use the medication just as before (pills twice a day and ointment at night). My face is very sensitive to most things except the ointment (convenient, no?). My face is very flaky and I haven't been able to use foundation without it looking strange. My bumps on my cheeks are very hard and sometimes they just flake off. I'm guessing that is supposed to happen. The bumps are getting worse (more frequent) but better at the same time in that they are smaller and harder quicker. I think my face is reacting well to the medication and I'm hoping that I've finally found something that works on my face. The photos make my face look bad but It's whatever. Here ya go.

I want to document my treatment with...

I want to document my treatment with sulfamethoxazole 400/trimeth 80 mg tablets and tazorac (tazarotene) 0.1% cream. I take the tablets twice daily and use the cream every night after washing my face. I haven't experienced any side effects from the oral medication (no nausea, dizziness or anything like that). After using the cream for about 3 days, I began seeing flaky skin and my face started to feel sensitive. I use Cetaphil face wash and lotion and although they are relatively gentle, my face does burn after putting those on now. I have only been using the pills and cream for a week. I went on a run last night during sunset and the sun was burning my face pretty badly (not sunburn just heat sensitivity).
I have had acne since age 12 (puberty). It has been a cycling roller coaster of good months/bad months throughout my life. The acne started very badly on my forehead and has progressed to my jawline, where it dominates in recent years. My forehead isn't too bad these days but my jawline is continuously plagued by painful, deep and red pimples that take forever to go away. My face has never really been clear of acne even though I have tried many treatments (clearasil, proactive, clean and clear, etc). I was on another antibiotic/cream duo once before but it was ineffective. The cream was 0.025% potency, so that might be why my face never responded.
I am hoping my face will clear with this treatment. I will keep you updated. I am on this site regularly daydreaming about all the fun things I could do to my body. LOL -- just for amusement.
