3 weeks after lip lift
Thought I'd give a quick update as I know there are a couple of ladies having this procedure very soon.
My stitches came out on day 9 and were removed by the practice nurse at my GP surgery. They should have been out on day 10 but this was the only time they could do it before I was due back to work and I'd healed really well so knew it would be ok.
I took a couple of pain killers before I had them removed just to be on the safe side. I also applied some antiseptic with a localised pain killer in it which the nurse said was very sensible of me.
The nurse did find a few of the stitches very tricky as they were so tiny. There were 18 in total. She commented what a neat job he'd done . After removal there was a tiny pink line and even without makeup you could barely see it.
I started applying vitamin E cream to the scar straight away and have been using it ever since as the skin there did become a little dry and itchy. I left the scar to breath for a few days before applying makeup.
The tightness in my upper lip has completrly gone.
I am very happy with the result. Although it has dropped a bit the shape of my mouth is so much more pleasing to me now. I also read that if too much skin is taken the scarring can be worse but I don't know if this is true.
Most people who didn't know I was having this haven't noticed. A couple of people said I looked well but that was about it. My friends who knew thought it looked really natural but definitely thought it was a big improvement.
The main thing is I know I've had it done and am happier when I look in the mirror. I like the shape of my top lip now. I would definitely recommend Dr Osuch for this procedure.
Am also considering using him in the future for rhinoplasty to tip of my nose which I would have liked done at same time but was told was not recommended .
Hope this review helps others making a decision on whether to have this procedure.

Day 4 update
So overall I'm healing nicely. Bandage fell off on day 2 and I've been regularly applying the antibiotic gel and also using savlon dual action antiseptic on the incision. Highly recommend the savlon dual action, kept in fridge, helps with swelling and soreness too. Woumd healing remarkably quickly , no signs of redness or infection. Swelling is getting better each day but I am a bit worried that my nose and nostrils look distorted and am hoping this will resolve itself as my nose wasn't exactly small to start with so don't want to end up with it any biggee!! I have also noticed in some pictures my mouth looks a bit lopsided but at this stage im putting that down to uneven swelling as it's too early to judge.
My top lip feels a lot looser today so I have more movement. A friend made me laugh yesterday and I was worried I might burst my stitches! My son and his girlfriend came to visit and both thought the procedure had made me look younger already! Will post more pics in a few days.

Lip lift result
So I arrived at Dr Osuchs clinic early this morning for my lip liftbwith a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
I had my consultation with him first and he was able to clearly answer my questions and concerns and put me at ease so I felt confident I wanted to go ahead.
He measured my philtrum and it was a whole 2cm!! He decided he would remove 8mms of skin to achieve a good result but also natural finish.
The procedure was carried out under local anaesthetic. The worst part for me was the injections for the anaesthetic itself but once this was over with I felt no pain at all whilst the procedure was carried out.
Dr Osuch started by marking up the area under my nose to be removed. He then showed me in a mirror and took the measurements all the way round to show me they were exactly 8mm.
I wasn't really aware how far he had got during the procedure and didn't want to talk too much incase I put him off. He seemed to be stitching for ages at the end though. When he showed me the result in the mirror I then understood why there seemed to be so much stitching as he uses the tiniest of stitches!
He then bandaged me up, gave me a prescription for paracetamol, antibiotics and an antibiotic gel and I was free to go. He also gave me advice on after care and removal of stitches.
I am very happy so far with the results. Even at this early stage I can see how it has rebalanced my facial features.
Once the anaesthesia wore off it is quite stingy and sore but the pain is bearable and I'm sure will get less and less as I heal.
