WORTH IT
Thought I'd give a quick update as I know there are a couple of ladies having this procedure very soon.
My stitches came out on day 9 and were removed by the practice nurse at my GP surgery. They should have been out on day 10 but this was the only time they could do it before I was due back to work and I'd healed really well so knew it would be ok.
I took a couple of pain killers before I had them removed just to be on the safe side. I also applied some antiseptic with a localised pain killer in it which the nurse said was very sensible of me.
The nurse did find a few of the stitches very tricky as they were so tiny. There were 18 in total. She commented what a neat job he'd done . After removal there was a tiny pink line and even without makeup you could barely see it.
I started applying vitamin E cream to the scar straight away and have been using it ever since as the skin there did become a little dry and itchy. I left the scar to breath for a few days before applying makeup.
The tightness in my upper lip has completrly gone.
I am very happy with the result. Although it has dropped a bit the shape of my mouth is so much more pleasing to me now. I also read that if too much skin is taken the scarring can be worse but I don't know if this is true.
Most people who didn't know I was having this haven't noticed. A couple of people said I looked well but that was about it. My friends who knew thought it looked really natural but definitely thought it was a big improvement.
The main thing is I know I've had it done and am happier when I look in the mirror. I like the shape of my top lip now. I would definitely recommend Dr Osuch for this procedure.
Am also considering using him in the future for rhinoplasty to tip of my nose which I would have liked done at same time but was told was not recommended .
Hope this review helps others making a decision on whether to have this procedure.

Day 4 update
So overall I'm healing nicely. Bandage fell off on day 2 and I've been regularly applying the antibiotic gel and also using savlon dual action antiseptic on the incision. Highly recommend the savlon dual action, kept in fridge, helps with swelling and soreness too. Woumd healing remarkably quickly , no signs of redness or infection. Swelling is getting better each day but I am a bit worried that my nose and nostrils look distorted and am hoping this will resolve itself as my nose wasn't exactly small to start with so don't want to end up with it any biggee!! I have also noticed in some pictures my mouth looks a bit lopsided but at this stage im putting that down to uneven swelling as it's too early to judge.
My top lip feels a lot looser today so I have more movement. A friend made me laugh yesterday and I was worried I might burst my stitches! My son and his girlfriend came to visit and both thought the procedure had made me look younger already! Will post more pics in a few days.

Wow,you are healing so fast! and you have no crusty scabs on the incision! mine were scary lol thats why I told you to be ready for one more thing to be scared of.Dont worry about the nose, mine looked huge! it takes a while for it to get back to normal. I also know what you mean about the lopside , I felt like it too, later it all ajusted it self. I also had a feeling that one side of my lips was a bit higher, but as I looked at the pictures of them before,it was like this than, I just never noticed it! It seem less noticelable now but I still see a bit in different ligthing, I ve noticed that each side of my face is different, one has bigger cheeks ,the other smaller ,weird how we notice things after we get something done, but not before lol,we get used to them and than we start staring and we see every litlle thing .You will see as the swelling keeps going down, things will look more normal, looks awesome !
Thanks Asia. Yes, funny also how you notice things in pictures you don't notice in the mirror! I'm really happy so far. Reassuring to hear the nose will go down! I asked my friend today if she thought my mouth looked lopsided and she said it didn't to her so like you say I think sometimes we are noticing things just because we had something done. Just wondering if I should have had a bit more off but he didn't want to take more than 8mm. Anyway so far so good x
I think we all feel that we want more taken out, sometimes I feel like it still, other times I think its perfect, either way, Im glad he didndt, casue it leaves some room to do it again if you want, and if for example scar wont heal well, and gets big,you always have room to cut it out,Ive seen it done on here on some girls, the ve had big scars, than they redid the lift and cut it out ,imagine not having that room. Now also, bear in mind that the lips will go down, they will look bigger than before but you would want them the way theyre like about now ,it was liek so with me!.but from what Ive learned it doesnt give you much more volume, but it raises them up and makes you look younger ,so its still worth it to me.I will have some filler injected in a few months in mine to see what it will look like.Dont wowrry about the nose! mine nostrills were huge! now back to as they were still uneven as before lol.If youre concerend about somethig is always good to look at old pictures, than you be like...oh,it was liek this! Casue im sure youre liek the rest of us ,checking it out in the mirror at all angles ,hahahah, so just relax, see how things change, one more thing,Im curiuos to see how you will be when you smile,I looked liek a camel for a couple months lol, the stiches undeneath wouldnt let me smile so wide lol ,its pretty much back now.Happy healing girl!
You’re quite the quickest healer I’ve seen! I had huge scabs all around my nose, and you don’t have ANY!!! I also experienced a lopsided upper lip, and it’s all fine now We all get nervous and ask ourselves if more skin should have been removed. It’s all normal! You look very feminine now, and those lips are fabulous!!!!
Thank you so much. I am lucky to be a quick healer. I could have gone back to work this week but just didn't know how I'd look so had already booked the time off. The lopsided moutj has already gone and result now is natural but definitely an improvement. My stitches come out tomorrow. Looking forward to putting my lippy on and being sociable again x
Have you checked out Maggie’s profile. She used Dr. Osuch as well. He’s an awesome ps! So you traveled to Poland... Omg!!! Where do you live? Is the price more affordable there? You look gorgeous with that red lipstick on in your photos! Did you get a chance to check out my profile? I had mine done a year ago!!
Hi there, I probably have seen Maggie's profile if she had a lip lift with Dr Osuch as I did lots of research and read reviews on him before deciding to use him. Im in the UK and cosmetic surgery in Poland is far more affordable like less than half what I'd have paid here. However I wouldn't have gone there had I not been confident I was using a highly capable surgeon in this procedure regardless of price. I've had s look at your profile and you look fabulous. The lip lift takes years off you and balances your face. In the UK this doesn't seem to be a very well known procedure with only a couple of surgeons well known for it. Then again I suppose not everyone was born with long philtrums like us. Thanks for your kind comments. I would definitely recommend Dr Osuch and this procedure.
Yes, price is definitely not a factor, expertise in this takes precedence!! For many years I would study my face, (lol) and just knew there was something off??!! Then, BOOM, I read about this on RS, and my life has taken on a new role, with so much more confidence. I now do not shun the mirror. lol
I felt the same! I felt as though my mouth was off doing its own thing lol and this is something that gets worse with age and fillers do not help at all!! It definitely boosts your confidence when you have felt unhappy about something for so long. Enjoy!
xoxo!!!!!

Day of treatment
Lip lift result
So I arrived at Dr Osuchs clinic early this morning for my lip liftbwith a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
I had my consultation with him first and he was able to clearly answer my questions and concerns and put me at ease so I felt confident I wanted to go ahead.
He measured my philtrum and it was a whole 2cm!! He decided he would remove 8mms of skin to achieve a good result but also natural finish.
The procedure was carried out under local anaesthetic. The worst part for me was the injections for the anaesthetic itself but once this was over with I felt no pain at all whilst the procedure was carried out.
Dr Osuch started by marking up the area under my nose to be removed. He then showed me in a mirror and took the measurements all the way round to show me they were exactly 8mm.
I wasn't really aware how far he had got during the procedure and didn't want to talk too much incase I put him off. He seemed to be stitching for ages at the end though. When he showed me the result in the mirror I then understood why there seemed to be so much stitching as he uses the tiniest of stitches!
He then bandaged me up, gave me a prescription for paracetamol, antibiotics and an antibiotic gel and I was free to go. He also gave me advice on after care and removal of stitches.
I am very happy so far with the results. Even at this early stage I can see how it has rebalanced my facial features.
Once the anaesthesia wore off it is quite stingy and sore but the pain is bearable and I'm sure will get less and less as I heal.

Yay! I can tell from the pictures its going to be beautiful=).See,nothing to be really nervous about!First three days are the worst, than its only better! Isnt he amazing with the stiching tough? I felt he was taking forever too, but thats where the magick comes in ,it will leave the tinest scar or none! Im still so amazed how mine has healed .
Hi Asia, I'm sooo swollen this morning compared to yesterday. I am going to have to hide away until this goes down lol. Were you badly swollen the day after?
Yeah! I believe I mentioned it to you in one of the comments , that it starts to swell the day after, it was like that with me,3 first days are the worst, swelling seems to keep going down a bit after that ,than about a week or so,you will love your lips nice and plumpy, cause you get used to them lol,and than it keeps going down . Dot worry, maybe put some ice pack to help it if its really bad. Fun part will be when you take the tape off, thats when you really see how awesome you look=),minus the scary blood crusty undernose part ,hahhaha,do not pick on them, let them do their thing ,they will fall off soon. This is a small procedure, but the healing part seems to take the longest,so be patient, its also the most worth it procedure ,youll see soon =).How are you eating?i hope small pieces lol.
Thanks, yeah I do remember you saying about the swelling but you still can't help freaking out when you see it the next day even when you know it will go down. I'm eating soup and things I don't have to open my mouth too wide for lol. I will post more pics once bandage removed and I'm less swollen :-)
Yeah,i know! I freaked out too! cause first day it was normal, and than Bam! hahah,I see that some girls on here are swollen so bad the first day,Im curious to see the reason behind it, maybe its that everyone is different. Not to scare you or anyhitng but be ready to freak out again when you take the bandage off =)
Thanks Asia. Good to know what to expect :-) I think swelling is from lying down all night too . I'm off to put my compress on
I LOOOOOVE the shape of your lips! Oh man I just read about the swelling :( makes me realize that it was probably a bad idea that I'm flying home the day after surgery when the swelling is the worst lol
Thank you! Make sure you ask the hotel for extra pillows to keep you elevated as much as possible.

Good idea! I will do that! Was there a pharmacy right by the clinic to pick up your medication or where did you go to?
No but they ordered me a taxi and advised me to ask taxi driver to stop at the pharmacy on the way to the airport which I did. You may find it a good idea to bring some ice packs or compress and see if the hotel can keep them cold for you. I've been using them all day today and they really do help with the swelling. How long have you got now?
My surgery will be on the 29th of this month! I'm already super excited and nervous at the same time.... how is you 'LL healing so far? Did you remove the stiches already?
Hi Nina, I had them removed on day 9 as was the only time my surgery could do but I'd healed really well. When they came out there was a tiny pink line which was barely noticeable. The nurse counted 18 stitches and some were so tiny they were very tricky to remove. I've healed really well though. Little bit of concealer on scar you'd never know it was there. I'll put a pic up taken over weekend. I was nervous too but try not to be as he has done lots of lip lifts and is very nice too
Oh so nice to hear that everything turned out so well! Is your nose back to normal and can you smile and talk like before? What are your recommendations for the scar? Any special creams? Oh yes I can't wait to see an update! :)
I keep standing in front of the mirror and lift my lip with my fingers and wonder if it will look like this hahaha ;)
I keep standing in front of the mirror and lift my lip with my fingers and wonder if it will look like this hahaha ;)
That's what I used to do haha. My nose is back to normal and everything has loosened up and can smile and do everything as before more or less straight after stitches were out. I ordered a pure vitamin E cream and also use dermalix silicone scar gel twice a day. Hope this helps and best of luck to you x
Hi, the prescription he gave you, how much did it cost? I'm trying to plan ahead and not sure if I am to buy my own scar cream or what not in advance x
Hi, it cost me 46 zloty that was for antibiotic tablets, antibiotic ointment and paracetamol. They also talked me into buying probiotics in the pharmacy to go with the antibiotics. He said no need to worry about scar cream until stitches were removed. I asked if I could get the prescription in the UK and he said no to get it there. Hope this helps.
Great help thank you ♡
Hi beautiful!! You’ve got to change Your profile name. It’s not true!!! Omgosh ...Born Again Betty! lol.
