Warning About Chin Implant Experience – Best Clinic Istanbul / Dr. Kadir Berat Oyur

In January, I underwent a chin implant procedure with Dr. Kadir Berat Oyur in Istanbul. Already in February, I started reporting asymmetry and an obvious irregularity — on one side the implant was clearly palpable under the skin, felt unstable, and “sprang” under pressure as if it had been incorrectly positioned. Each time, I was simply told to massage the area and wait. As the swelling gradually went down month after month, the problem became more and more visible.

I kept sending photos and describing the issue in detail. I also reported another serious problem after a different procedure — stitches were protruding so much from both sides of my face that they were close to piercing through the skin.

Eventually, I went to a plastic surgeon in Poland for an independent consultation. The surgeon confirmed that the stitches were permanent and had to be surgically removed. He also confirmed that the chin implant appeared to be fixed asymmetrically. I paid myself for the consultation, surgical stitch removal, and written medical opinion.

I forwarded everything to the clinic consultant. At first I was being dismissed, and later communication practically stopped. The only thing I was told was that I should fly back to Turkey for a “consultation” because they do not recognize a Polish doctor’s opinion. So despite the visible issue and all the photos provided, I was expected to spend more money on flights and accommodation just for a 15-minute consultation — and then potentially fly back yet again for a correction procedure.

I never received any actual solution, proposed timeline, or real support — neither from the consultant, nor from the hospital. I even contacted Dr. Kadir Berat Oyur directly because I assumed he might not be fully aware of the situation, and that is why I delayed leaving a 1-star review. His only response was: “It can be corrected.” I replied that this is not something that “can” be corrected, but something that clearly needs to be corrected, and asked what solution he was proposing for me. After that, I received no further response.

At this point, I am leaving a negative review and contacting a lawyer. I will most likely have to remove the implant in Poland at my own expense.

What makes this even worse is that before the surgery, I actually had a very nice chin shape achieved with hyaluronic acid filler. I only decided to get an implant so I would not have to keep repeating filler treatments. Instead, I ended up with a visibly protruding “corner” on one side, an unnaturally elongated lower face, and an implant extending underneath the chin — despite the fact that during the consultation I clearly explained multiple times, in writing and with reference photos, that I only wanted subtle projection in the central chin area, not vertical elongation of the lower face.

Not only was the implant positioned asymmetrically, but the final result is completely different from what was discussed and requested before surgery.

For comparison, I am also attaching photos of how my chin looked before the surgery and the exact reference photos I sent before the procedure. As you can clearly see, my original chin shape was natural, feminine, and balanced. The final result looks nothing like what I asked for.
