My first experience with Dr. Aycock was in 2006...

My first experience with Dr. Aycock was in 2006 when I was considering a tummy tuck. I had always had a little pouch, but after 2 kids, well you know how it goes. I was looking for a plastic surgeon and found Dr. Aycock. I attended one of the many lunch seminars he holds in order to get a feel for him to see if he was right for me. I liked him instantly. He "spoke my language" if you will. His approach and style was that of improving what you already have, not turning you into some "creature feature," resembling nothing of who you are. I immediately scheduled a consultation with him to discuss specifics. He explained to me in detail the procedure, how it worked, and what my expectations could be. His confidence (NOT ARROGANCE!) was reassuring and comforting. I took the next step of meeting with Linda, his patient coordinator to discuss the financial aspect of the procedure. She was very warm, and broke everything down in an organized manner that was easy to understand. The costs were not the highest by any means, nor were they the lowest in town either. They're fair and I decided to go for it. Dr. Aycock's entire staff could not have been, nor possibly be any more professional and friendly. They were all there to put me at ease and keep me comfortable. The surgery went well and the aftercare was simply amazing, as were my results! Dr. Aycock had prepared me for everything. I remember during one of my follow up appointments, while I was starting to see results and they were ok, I was worried that what I was seeing was as good as it was going to get. Boy was I wrong! Dr. Aycock reminded me that I was still extremely swollen and far from my final result! Again he was right. My final result was a new flat tummy, and although it was not part of my goal to drop a pants size, I dropped 2. Just an unexpected bonus. I understand the tummy tuck is one of the most brutal of plastic surgeries, but I would do it again in a New York minute. For those concerned about pain management, I'm not the one to talk to, as my threshold for pain tolerance is pretty high. Dr. Aycock provided medication to manage the pain, which after a couple of days I was able to stop and use OTC medication. I was reminded several times to NOT be afraid to keep the pain under control, as it aided in the healing process. I cannot believe it was 10 years ago. To sum up my experience in 4 words: Best plastic surgeon ever.
