Vivace is the Worst of All Worlds

Vivace is the Worst of All Worlds

I had an intensive Vivace treatment done on my neck 3 months ago. I have a little bit of a turkey neck and was interested in Vivace b/c of the supposed minimal downtime. For the first few days after treatment, my neck was irritated but I dutifully applied the Alsatan nectar my provider gave me. Then the scabs set in! For the next six weeks my neck was covered in small but obvious brown scabs. Everyone noticed and asked what happened to my neck! Imagine being told no downtime and then having 6 weeks down time. I could have recovered faster from surgery! But that is not even the worst of it! As my skin healed, I noticed that my skin was tighter in all of the areas that didn’t need tightening, but there was absolutely no effect on the turkey neck - so now the turkey neck is much more obvious because everything else is so tight. It looks so unnatural. I can’t believe I went through such an ordeal to end up so much worse. What a scam! Vivace should not be allowed to advertise no down time - it’s more like no results!

wow sorry to hear that. who did you go to? I am having my second one tomorrow. hope your neck gets better
Ugh - put my reply in the wrong place, see above.
Hi - I’m glad that you had a positive enough experience that you are having another treatment. My neck is finally starting to look normal again. The only positive benefit I’ve gotten is that my skin feels softer, but I don’t really care how it feels and that could be from the gobs and gobs of Allastin nectar I’ve been putting on. I did this because I wanted my neck to look better and it doesn’t. I guess it’s possible my skin will produce collagen over the next few months and tighten (that’s the promise, right?) but so far nothing but softer skin. My provider was a well-regarded medspa outside of Boston. I’m not naming them bc I’m not sure they’re at fault. They were very open and supportive during my ordeal - offered other treatments, gave me containers of the Allastin when I ran out, etc... I just think this is not a good treatment for me. I’m curious as to what benefits you saw from the first treatment that prompted you to want another one?
I live in Houston. I just had my second treatment today. For me, i have seen pore reduction and the girl told me it takes a few sessions, and its really going to help pores, and may some tightening. I feel like my neck needs surgery, not al the ultherapy stuff. i feel like these places should know when to turn a client down and tell them what will work for them. Better to lose a few dollars, than a mad client. Hopefully some benefit will come for you.
I put my reply in the wrong place again lol.
I think you’re right - Vivace is probably best for improving texture on the face and not for tightening the neck - not what I was told of course. I’ve heard so many horror stories about Ultherapy - and then many other cases where it was very painful and expensive but didn’t do anything. There are problems with facelifts too - nerve damage, scars, asymmetry, and just result that don’t last more than a few years. It seems like there aren’t any good options except to be happy looking old :(
Not worth it at all! Vivace did NOTHING for my face!!
