Comfortable Treatment, But No Results Even With PRP

I got an excellent deal on Vivace and couldn't turn down trying this treatment.

NOTE: The pricing I inputted for this procedure was for two treatments. I had my own PRP, so I was not charged for that.

I had Vivace performed at a plastic surgeon's office. I was there for at least two hours per treatment as the numbing process took a solid hour unto itself. The good news is that there was zero pain. The treatment was comfortable, and there was no downtime beyond a little pinkness that lasted for a few hours post each treatment. That said, you can't wear makeup for 24 hours and really shouldn't wash your face as you want your PRP to absorb into the skin and the microneedling leaves open channels for several hours so I would say downtime is about 24 hours post treatment.

As far as results, they tell you to wait, so I did. I waited four months. I see absolutely zero difference in my skin. Vivace provides a nice post treatment glow, but you can get that from a facial that's 1/5 the price. As far as boosting collagen, eliminating or reducing fine lines and discloration, or even erasing acne scars, Vivace made zero difference. Also, I continued to break out between treatments even though my tech used both the red and blue laser (one for firming and one for acne).

Overall, I would say this treatment is not worth the money. I'm not sure why, it's confusing as I know others have had good results with microneedling so I don't get why this would be any different, but it is. Maybe I would have had better results with more treatments, but it's hard to continue investing in something that hasn't made even the slightest improvement after four months.
