Hello All,
I am scheduled to have Laser Lipo on my lower/upper abs, flanks, and bra strap area on Jan 25, 2013. With American Lipo Centers in Virginia Beach, VA. I am super Excited and Nervous at the same time.I am 25 years old married, with no children.I am 5'4 and 147 pounds with a lot of extra weight in my stomach. For the past couple of years I have been so uncomfortable with my stomach area, and bra strap rolls, that it interfers with me daily while trying to dress. It has taken a toll on me and now I am financially able to do something about it.I have considered having the procedure done for about two years. Having this procedure will definitely help with my fitness and personal goals for my body. I am so ready to start working on the new me.

A week from today I am scheduled for my procedure. I am getting a little nervous. I am watching my sodium intake, drinking more water, and no alcohol. If anybody has any tips from there procedure please feel free to give an advice. Thanks

Goodluck with your procedure. I am also an African-American female and had smart lipo on my abdomen and flanks 2 days ago. The procedure went really well and basically pain free. There is some discomfort, but thats about it. So relax :) Really.
In terms of tips, just make sure you have everything set up for when you get back home. Like I had everything that I thought I might need after the surgery already set up in my bedroom. I also prepared some foods so that I wouldnt have to worry about that afterward. In terms of care, just follow your doctors orders :) Goodluck!

I'm also African-American and I just had my arms done and i'm already loving the results. I am having my abs, flanks, and BRA ROLL done on friday, i'm with you i'm ready to start working on the new me! I am also married and have kids, so i'm ready to do me..... you will look great. No worries.

I haven't done anything, I was already set-up at home with everything I needed when I had my arms done. I just finished antibotics for that procedure on yesterday, and will resume taken them on Wed. for the Fri. procedure. I have been taken Zinc, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C seperately since before the first procedure. I have continued to take them and maybe that's why I have been healing as fast as I have. I have increased my water intake, and as far as eating i'm not a big eater anyway, but I haven't changed my regimen with that as of yet. Mentally, I pray everyday and I know that if God is with me then who can be against me............. Are you planning on having some things done as well?

I have just been drinking more water, and watching my sodium intake. Im going today to bu some stretch sweat pants to wear to work. I haven't taken an vitamins yet. I am getting abs, flanks, bra roll on Friday getting excited.

Those vitamins are going to help you heal faster, trust me, also how much sodium do you consume a day? I have been trying to research this information and have yet to locate it. Sweats to the procedure is great that's what I wore and i'm wearing them again on Fri., so we both having the same thing done on Fri., which is great i'm beyond excited. Today, was my first day back to work after having my arms done and they said, "you do know you at work and not on the runway right?" I responded, "but I am just wait until next week or the week after that!" lmbo........ I told them that i'm living in "THE NEW NORMAL"........

Lol nothing wrong with feeling confident, I can't wait to see my semi results after the procedure. I brought some sweat pants, and seamless comfortable under garments. Idk how much Sodium I need to write it down. I can't wait to start shopping for summer clothes :)

I bought this bodycon BEBE dress off line just for the new body and you know I got to do the photoshoot girl, you are not gonna be able to tell me that the sky is blue and I can see it with my own eyes........ "AND IN THAT ORDER" lol.......

Hi Sbulnt try this site for the sodium: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/sodium/NU00284. I just had smart lipo on my abs and flanks last week and was confused about sodium intake. Basically, try to eat fresh foods. Processed foods have higher sodium. Also check a labels. The article goes into more detail about all of this though. Goodluck!

Well tomorrow I am haing the procedure done on abs, flanks, bra strap area. I am a little excited but mostly anxious. I will update again hopefully after the procedure is over.
