I have been wanting this done since i was a kid..so I'm excited and nervous....i want to still look like me but not like me lol if that makes sense. ..i guess what I'm saying is i still want a black girl nose only slimmer and not as wide with more definition my of a bridge ...i will be getting my procedure done april 6th with dr Choe he seems like he know what hes doing has a few before and after photos of others with a ethnic background. ..he was very pleasant but stern on what he thinks will work for my face...he said he wants my nose to still look ethnic and has no desire to change it into something it shouldn't be

no gortex implant for me
Since I've been on Realself.com, i know i will not be taking my doctors advice on an implant .It doesnt really work for African Americans who originally had a classic black nose to begin with. (Wide flat big tip).I got really nervous after i had an ah hah moment and emailed the office that i will not be having any implants. Lol I attached noses that i liked and didnt like and as soon as the office opened i called them to let them know my concerns. Dr Choes assistant was very kind and said that the price would come down 200$ dollars and she forward my new wants to Dr choe she said in my two weeks appointment that me and him would go over my concerns more carefully and see what's achievable she said don't worry no problem on changing things up and to call back if i had anymore issues. I got off the phone feeling very relieved

Hey Anxious29! I think that's a great decision! I've noticed the the African American rhinoplasties with the implants seem to look "done", they tend to have that pinched look. I think your wish nose is very attainable with your current nose. I can't wait to see the final results. This is your face...be a firm as possible on your desires. I'll be following your journey. Im definitely going to show him exactly what i want.I think i have been doing research nonstop for the last week.lol I just want to get the best nose for my face .Im feeling very excited and nervous ,just don't want to go too far or not far enough

Lol I'm anti looking like i got a "nose job" .Thank you for your comment.Ill be going to my preop appointment tomorrow so I'm very interested on what's his plan of action...plus them taking off 300$ for the gortex implant fee
