Younger age than most rhinoplasty patients

Choe review:

I went to Dr. Choe at an age younger than most patients who receive rhinoplasties would, and I received a rhinoplasty. I am grateful that even though a bit hesitant, he was open to performing the surgery. After multiple visits and a few minor, in-office alterations in effort to give me the desired results that I did not receive after the surgery and not being happy due to the asymmetry and bulkiness at the tip, I went to him to consider a revision rhinoplasty and was told to wait a proper period of time. On my last visit about a year ago, after expressing that I spoke with another surgeon for a second opinion and that he expressed that my nose was indeed asymmetrical and more work could potentially be done, I was told by Dr. Choe that he believed he did what he could being my ethnic background and he spoke of the risk that comes along with performing another surgery, but to come back when I was of age for considering. That was an emotional visit, and I haven't returned since. 

I have requested the paperwork from his office since then to bring to another surgeon, but never went through with going to the specific surgeon due to being hesitant that instead of being given an honest opinion and a safe surgery, I would be encouraged to for solely money-related reasons, which Dr. Choe had warned me about. So now being of age, I have reached out to Dr. Choe's office for a consult to see if since he did the original surgery, he believes that now would be a safe time and if improvement could be done. It was a friendly call to his office until I stated my name and reasoning for calling, and at first, I understood being that I had requested paperwork, but I was snippily told after being put on hold that I'd be reached by another department that knows his schedule better when in all of my other calls prior to and post-surgery, the same woman scheduled every one of my consults. I was then snippily asked "Didn't you guys already figure everything out the last time you were here regarding a revision?" Which I found to be rude and unprofessional being her tone, and the fact that I am now of age and was told I could come back when that time had come. I've waited patiently for almost three years and spent thousands of dollars on a surgery to receive a call the following day that any meet-up further on would be $150. 

With that said, Dr. Choe is a great doctor who conservatively did my nose being my age at the time, gladly offered alternatives to an actual revision rhinoplasty, which did not achieve the desired results, but when it came to the end, I was greatly disappointed being that thousands of dollars were put into a surgery that I was not pleased with, yet $150 will be charged in any future meeting with him when that was never the case before. I will look for further assistance elsewhere, and unfortunately will most likely have to pay a similar fee to get the results I desire. Despite being disappointed, he is a patient doctor, and I appreciate the fact that he performed the surgery.
