For the longest time I really thought I was THAT tired until I found out that I actually had significant volume loss in the tear trough area! I had 1 syringe split between both eyes (so half under each). I took arnica for the week before and used arnica gel after and had no bruising and only slight swelling, but I was able to go out in public right away without looking like I'd had something done. They're not totally gone but they look SO much better!

You look like you have had a great result! I am interested in having my Tear troughs filled but I am a bit scared to do it after hearing so many horror stories. How bad was the recovery?

I was SO nervous too! I think the key is going to someone VERY experienced! (And a lot of times I don't think doctors are as experienced as some of the nurse injectors because they don't do only injections all day everyday.) No recovery really! I took arnica pellets for a week before and then used the gel after and had no bruising. (She also told me to avoid pineapple and ibuprofen for a few days before to help with bruising) I also iced with a washcloth dipped in ice water every hour or 2 for the first day and slept 2 nights on 2 pillows to raise my head a little bit. I was a little swollen for maybe a week but it wasn't noticeable to the general public, only me. I had what looked like a tiny cut on one side where the needle went in but that was easily covered by makeup on day 2.

Did it hurt? Had my jowls filled - painful and not that great of a result.

Didn't hurt at all! She did put a fair amount of topical numbing gel on beforehand and I sat with that for about 20 minutes before she injected me. Sorry your jowls didn't work!:(
