Week 4 and the Tape is OFF!

2 Weeks Post-op

Utterly Speechless

I went to my 2 week postop today (promise to post pics soon). My surgeon said he used mod because the implant size I chose would need to be underfilled in the mod+ profile. My question is why didn't he measure me preop to determine what size and profile implant my body could accommodate? He offered to do a revision once I'm healed. That's too much stress on my body, I'm out of leave, and I'm sick of spending money on this. So allowing him to touch my body again after being so unprepared the first time is out of the question. But I'm still satisfied with my results so far, just disappointed that I don't have mod+ (and I would've gladly went up in size to have them). As far as the mini... swelling is still horrendous and I'm on my 5th binder (the 6th is in the mail). Either it's too tight, loose, or bulky. So any brand suggestions would be great? And the swelling is finally going down (I pee at least every hour now; sorry for the tmi). I was up 10 pounds...YIKES. And I'm off my pain meds. Yay!

I had a mini tummy tuck w/ muscle repair and lipo along with a breast augmentation. Mistakenly, I went with Dr. Jacobs after one consult. He was very nonchalant (almost pompous), I felt rushed, and he seemed annoyed by my questions. He even lied to me (said silicone implants lasted forever). Regardless of all of the bad signs, I decided to stick with him since he had good online ratings and I really wanted the surgery done without any delay doing additional consults. At my pre-op, I told him that I’d researched saline and silicone and I’d decided on saline. So we agreed on 425cc overfilled to 475cc mod+ on both sides. No measurements were done (another red flag). After receiving my surgery card, I read that I’d received 425cc on the right side and 475cc on the left side (the nurse later said this was a typo) mod profile. When asked why I didn’t get the mod+ we discussed, he said that I would’ve needed a larger implant in order for it to fit my chest. If he would’ve taken measurements in the beginning we could’ve avoided this issue. He offered to do a revision, but Dr. Jacobs will never get another dime out of me. If you’re looking to do all your own research and calculate the best size and profile for your body (by yourself), Dr. Jacobs is a great pick. If not, RUN!
