Hello I have been following this site for a while now, got over my nerves to finally post my story. I have been up and down With my weight I'm 5'2 168 pounds. Yikes right? I have 27 percent body fat stubborn areas so I decided to go for it! I just had the procedure yesterday it took 3 hours I went under general anesthesia. When I woke I had minor soreness wouldn't call it pain. That's while I was sitting in the upright position. I have two drainage holes on the waist line really small. Which they are stitched. I have minimal drainage. I say the drainage last me about 4 hours max. I have antibiotics and percocets. Which I take as directed which is probably the reason I'm not in pain. However I have a high tolerance for pain. It is very sore and I am numb I can see major difference already. I am swollen not like I was expected to be though. I am in my CG which is too loose already I have ordered another one through morris designs and plan to pick it tomorrow. Now I just have before pictures I will attach the afterwards in a few I'm not allowed to shower or take my garment off till my first post op appointment which is Friday. Again I had abdominal and flanks but he threw in my back which was a unexpected wonderful surprise!!

I have my surgery a week from now same general idea of general 3.5-4 hrs abdomen, posterior hips and im getting my thighs done too. I am 5 ft about 140 lbs. im clearly nervous about what to expect as far as results go. You can tell a HUGE difference in your before and after which is WONDERFUL and it's only been a short bit of time. Any advice for me in my last week of preparation?? TIA

Thank you!!! I would say prepare yourself mentally the pain and soreness and numbness combined is what is the worst part for me. I believe it was because I didn't expect it mentally I was just excited and jumped head first! You will do great!!!

I would definitely agree with you, I am 7 days post-op panniculectomy with lipo to the flank, back, abdomen and waist. The swelling, soreness as well as the numbness is the worst for me. I have swelling that goes down into my thighs. However, even with the abdominal swelling, I can still see wonderful results. Cant wait to be able to truly walk upright again and sleep flat. Good luck you will love your results. Breathe thru the pain.

A panniculectomy is when a pannus is surgically removed. A pannus is excess skin and adipose tissue, sometimes referred to as an apron that hangs down over ones genitals and/or thighs. This excess tissue can make it difficult to maintain good hygiene in the genital area. It can also make it difficult to walk and perform other physical activities. The difference between a panniculectomy and abdominoplasty is a panniculectomy only removes the apron of the skin. There is no undermining of tissue or lightening of old muscles.
I had lipo to the flank , back, abdomen and waist.

Thank you all!! @bambi he took a lot it was a little over 4000 CC... The pain though is bad I'm currently 4 days po today has to be the worst day with all the swelling and I was more active then usual yesterday so I figured that is the reason
