I'm no stranger to face work & love to tell people all about it.
I'm 45 & started with Botox when I was 32 as a preventative.
I recently went to an informational night at 344 Beauty Bar & learned about their Vampire Facial. I was impressed that the girls who work there didn't try to sell me on the facial special and, in fact, told me I had great skin. I do have large pores and read that this procedure can help with that. I bought a series of three and will space them out six weeks apart.
When I went in today I was given a numbing cream and then the nurse pulled my blood. The blood was taken and spun to remove the plasma for the procedure. She used a microneedling pen and spread the plasma on my face as she went. If you've ever had the procedure done it's not horrific but it certainly is no massage.
Afterwords my face felt a little tight and like I had a sunburn. She told me my face will be red for the next few days and it would take up to a month or two for the collagen to build.
This evening I washed my face with coconut oil like I always do and took the remaining plasma she sent me home with to use as a moisturizer.
My hopes for this procedure are to reduce the signs of my large pores and overall even out my skin tone and hopefully provide a little tightening. I'll keep updating as I finish the series.

I basically have the same story except I'm 46. Started Botox in my early 30's. I have found the condition of my skin deteriorating since about 44 . I have been looking for something to even out skin tone and minimize the appearance of larger pores. Id love to be able to leave the house without foundation on! Do you mind if I ask how much the package of three treatments was ?

Yes! They had a special: 3 for $599. For that price I had to try it!

Wow your right that is a great price . Wish it was that affordable here . Look forward to seeing your progress !

You look amazing! I'm 42 and just starting face 'stuff' now. Is Botox all you've ever had done? Where all do you get it injected? Any fillers ever? Thank you!

I've had Botox and it's competitors (Xeomin and Dysport) in my forehead and crow's feet...actually want to make an appointment for next week! I have had fillers off and on over the years. 2 years ago this summer I had Voluma put in my cheeks. I want to try the ArqueDerma Juvederm technique this spring...we'll see!

If you're brave enough, you can do micro needling at home (without blood plasma). I have my equipment ordered & with be using Vitamin C serum & a Korean Snail serum with my treatments. Hope you will update soon any results you have. I understand it takes up to 6 weeks to notice anything because thats how long it takes for collagen to repair & grow after the "damage" of the micro needling... Thank You..

Yes! I saw that on here and actually ordered a .5mm roller! I'm going to try it in between my spa visits! My next vampire facial is next week so I'll be updating. Right now my skin looks the same.

I look forward to hearing about it.. I ordered .5, 1.0 & 1.5
I plan to use not just on face & neck but scalp (for hair loss) and going to try on other body parts (back of hands etc. & scars from breast reduction/lift)
I make all my own serums & bath/body products from organic pure sources.

I didn't think about hands! That's a great idea! I started low and thought I'd see how it goes!

Any particular micro needle ? Did the serums come with it
December 10, 2016
I purchased .5mm, 1.0mm & 1.5mm. The serums you purchase separately or use what you have on hand. Also a numbing cream can be used 1st on areas to be treated so its less painful (if you are afraid of a lil pain, lol)
December 10, 2016
I would recommend looking for the Titanium micro needling roller

I am! I might try it without numbing and a smaller needle to start. Have you noticed a difference?
December 12, 2016
I haven't received my "equipment" yet for self treatment, so can't comment
December 20, 2016
Well today when I was getting my "maintenance" I was told about a newer form of Micro Needling called "Aquagold"... Essentially, its a hollow type of needles in the device that deliver Botox & Hyaluronic into the upper layers of the skin. No, I haven't had it done & waiting to see more reviews and before & afters before Id consider it.

I use an at home dermapen. I see a world of change in my skin this past year. It does take quite a while to make the collagen, but I've been needling myself after numb gel sits for twenty minutes, then I apply any serum I like. It's the best decision I've ever made. Completely changed my laugh lines and lower face. I bought mine on Amazon for 150.00, and I use it every six weeks religiously. I take ibuprofen after and I'm fine. Amazing tool for skin care and my self esteem. Your skin looked pretty beautiful before you began, so I know you'll be happy with it!

Hmmmm. I should look into it! I did buy a dermaroller and I do my hands and neck and face every week. I only notice my hands look better for a few days because of the swelling!

I woke up looking like I had a sunburn & headed off to the gym. I thought it looked pretty pink but no one said anything. I also went out at night & put on makeup. No one could tell. My face felt a bit tight but otherwise no other problems.

You look fantastic. I've had all kinds of fillers, vampire lift, microneedling. I have no problem letting anyone know, either. It's just maintenance. Plus...Discounts for referrals

I just had my first Microneedling with PRP today. I joined a nice med spa by me and got some Juvederm and Botox last month. I am a little late to the game, first time doing fillers since they are pricey. The vampire facial didnt hurt much with the numbing cream. I am supposed to leave my stuff on until the morning. Nurse took before pics and I will post healing and results in about 2 to 3 weeks. I'm excited! I will be doing another in a month!

Still look like I spent too much time in the sun. Feels a little tight when I smile. No other issues. I've been taken Arnica and Bromelian since the procedure.

Hi there, I'm thinking about getting this treatment done too. Did you see any result eventually? Many thanks

I'm 3 days out so I don't expect a huge change yet. I was told that the skin could take up to 2 months to show full results since the underlying trauma builds collagen. I'm getting my 2nd treatment in 5-6 weeks. I'm doing a series of 3 that are about 6 weeks apart.

Great - thanks, I will follow your progress - wishing you all the best with your outcome from this treatment : )
