I also contacted the doctor by personal Facebook messenger to make him aware of the situation and give him a little constructive criticism and letting him know that this had happened to me . And to my surprise he did read my message however chose not to respond to me . Not an apology or even offer a portion of my money back for my troubles and damages or anything towards fixing it !! I got the complete silent treatment !

Omg why are you on a social media site to review (both good and bad) if you are opposed and dismissive of others experiences? Doesn't make sense. If I am super happy with a procedure I'm going to write a super happy review. If I am super pissed I'll write a bad one. It's supposed to be reflective of your experience. I agree report them. Their replies don't make sense and for whatever reason this troll is trying to discredit your review.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've gone through this ordeal. I hope you've recovered from all of these bruises.

Botched under eye fillers
JessS78December 6, 2017
I am not one to write negative reviews but I feel that my story needs to b heard so that this will not happen to anyone else!!
I originally went to Dr Kaado back in February to have my under eye "hollow troughs" filled (as I was told he was the only person in Va beach that did the blunt tip cannula method because I bruise very easily.) I have had my under eyes filled before back in Ct but that was over 2 years ago and they did a wonderful job there but it was time to do it again as the fillers had gone away. I found Dr Kaado on facebook through ads and some live videos. I set up a consultation and when I went into the appointment, I automatically trusted him and felt confident in his abilities to help restore the volume loss under my eyes. So I went ahead and did the procedure that day. I even went live on my facebook to show my friends that it was ok to treat yourself every once in a while. He also filled my lips, cheeks, nose bridge (as he pointed out the little bump on the top of my nose could be evened out, and I also had botox injected into my forehead and around my crows feet. I didnt bruise after the first initial visit. He said that my eyes and lips would need to be done in stages and that I would have to come back to complete it. Which at the time I should have listened to the red flags going off in my head because my Dr in Ct never had to do it in stages since he was very experienced and knew exactly how much to add and not to add. But I decided to ignore those red flags and believe that each Dr has their own ways of doing things. Long story short, over the next several months ( Feb to-this past September) he had me coming in almost every single week to inject under my eyes and also several times he had to inject a filler dissolver to get rid of any excess filler that was over corrected under my eyes. He admitted he was having a hard time getting my under eye area even and the way it should be. kept blaming it on allergies saying thats why it was so puffy underneath and why he was having such a hard time getting it right. He didn't charge me for all the times he was injecting hoping to correct it because he felt badHowever, the bruises were terrible, the pain and swelling was getting worse and It was psychologically draining and I was becoming tired of looking like a "domestic violence victim". I told him I couldnt handle much more. Eventually he decided that my under eye area was gonna have to be "good enough" after the last set of injections he did. A couple of weeks after this last set of injections once a majority of the bruising and swelling had gone down I noticed it was very uneven looking, blue looking and I had a permanent dark area and spots under my right eye.I contacted his office and told them and they suggested I come in to buy some of his "under eye dark circle" cream. I explained that this was not dark circles, that something had gone wrong along the way. I was told he was busy and that the only time he could see me was a time that didnt work for my schedule. I ended up going to a plastic surgeon to get an opinion of what the issue was. It turns out according to the plastic surgeon's expertise that the blue tint under my eyes is what is called the tyndall effect which is a result of filler being injected to superficially (not deep enough) and the dark patches I had under my eye was damaged tissue due to being over injected over and over again without giving the tissue ample time to heal from the trauma. To fix the tyndall effect problem I had to shell out more $$ to have it all dissolved (so all that i spent to begin with was pretty much like burning a couple of thousand dolllars) and as far as the tissue damage goes, I was told that I could not have anything done to my under eye area for several months to see if the tissue could some how repair itself. If it doesn't then the surgeon suggested some alternative ways to fix it (more $$) but asof now I am waiting to see if it can heal on its own and then I can address getting the under eye are corrected and the volume restored eventually.

So sorry for what happened to you! Can't believe how he did you something like that!!! How are your eyes now? You should try prp for under eye area to help recover your skin! Or dermapen! Good luck!

The blue tint from the tyndall effect is gone now since I had to have it dissolved by another dr. the dark spots from the tissue damage is still there but not as dark as it was before. It l could possibly heal up on its own with time eventually, if not the plastic surgeon I saw suggested use of lasers if need

If you want to get that sensitive of an area done find a doctor who is trained to use a blunt cannula to inject it(a needle that just basically isn't sharp at the end or looks like a tiny straw). That skin is so thin there it's very hard not to hit vessels and make it bruise.

Just read the part where you said it WAS used. So yea someone didn't inject it right

yes, it was done with a blunt tip cannula the first several times, after that it was done with individual injections in the areas that he felt needed tweaked, and dissolved several times, then re injected again several times. each week almost for several months.

In my experience, if I am dissatisfied with a procedure, posting the issue on social media does not solve any problem except to assuage the anger felt by the patient. It is far better to engage the physician professionally and without an attempt to denigrate the physician because each person's circumstances and physical condition are different based on a variety of factors like age, amount of damage done previously by exposure to sun, tobacco smoke, lack of humidity, diet, elasticty of skin, etc. Using social media as a bludgeon to "get back at" a doctor strikes me as extremely short sided, immature, and ultimately unsuccessful. Again, this is based on my experience in trying to obtain redress for something that did not go as hoped.

That's funny because doctors are public people, and when people go to them for treatments should be able to look up reviews by other people that's how informed consent works too and we as clients should be able to share our experiences.
February 27, 2018
yes I agree completely with you other people need to be able to hear about others experiences so they can make decisions to go so that specific doctor for themselves :)

People post good and awful experiences. If any of the bad experiences can caution a person against a treatment that can potentially ruin their face it is absolutely necessary that we make it public. Doctors won't. Under eyes filler should not be allowed, and the whole filler treatment industry should be more regulated.

I think you meant, “short-sighted” and far better for whom? I’d be shocked if you didn’t work in the field as your response sounds like you are personally affronted. Do you realize you’re suggesting this on a website where the entire purpose is to encourage transparency about cosmetic procedures, and honest experiences of people have had with them? You’re suggesting people not share negative experiences when the industry is rife with malpractice? Why can’t a client do both? Talk about their experience and seek redress? Or simply move on if they need to? It seems the doctor had plenty opportunities to explain himself and address any abnormalities on all those visits. Why can’t the surgeon reach out to the client here, or in private to explain why he over-injected her? Or to clarify the specifics like the depth of injection. Why was she only able to reverse the problem by seeking help elsewhere? Seems to me the client was also willing to give the surgeon many opportunities, and also some free advertising on fb during her visit. If you don’t deliver what you say you can, or act unethically, the sword will cut both ways. You can’t cherry pick what kind of public attention you might get if you have an online presence and put yourself out there as being competent. It’s the physicians choice to address the case publicly themselves if they feel they did nothing incorrectly. You don’t need to come in here crying that the poster is denigrating anyone. I’m sure the doctors can defend themselves if they are actually professional and following industry standards. I felt your comment was more of a bludgeon on the poster, as she simply told her story and did not come across as vindictive. You’re reading too much into it. Suggesting people not speak out publicly to warn others, and keep quiet about the traumas they’ve experienced, is unconscionable. Shame on you.

You sound like a complete tosspot. If she has had a negative experience from a docter who seemingly was unethical in his approach the lady has every right to inform others in order to prevent it happening to any one else.

That's great! I also have dark spots from hyaluronidase, it's a bit better but it doesn't look like before. What laser did he suggest you?
RealSelf is a community where people come on to leave reviews about their experiences and opinions about professionals. Which is exactly what I was doing .That is what this site is meant for! I would never want this to happen to anyone else and the lack of this specific doctor’s caring or communication with me after I notified him of the situation is what prompted me to leave the review because that in itself is completely unprofessional, not to answer someone back when they’ve notified you that you’ve caused damage. RealSelf is meant for real reviews and that’s exactly what I did!
I don’t know why you’re so very interested in my review when there are thousands of other negative reviews out there on the RealSelf I don’t know why you’re so very interested in my review when there are thousands of other negative reviews out there on the real self page . you obviously have some sort of affiliation with this doctor or you would have no interest in my review what so ever again my point has been proven !
unless you go around commenting on every single negative review on RealSelf ( which I highly doubt) this just proves that your rebuttals to my review are one of personal interest and show affiliation with this doctor .
i’m allowed to voice my opinion, I am allowed to voice the facts of what happened in this matter all of which are facts and cannot be disputed.
why don’t you take your time elsewhere and go comment on some other negative reviews !
