I was so excited to lose 150 pounds after my gastric sleeve procedure, but I couldn't believe how much extra skin I had after my procedure. Dr. Bidic gave a talk to my massive weight loss group and he talked about all of the procedures that could improve the shape of someone who lost a lot of weight after a bariatric procedure. I really enjoyed his talk and went to his office for a consultation. He spent an hour with me discussing the operation and showing me pictures of his patients who had a body lift. They looked great. He also gave me phone numbers of patients who had the procedure so that I can ask then questions about the recovery.
I could not be happier with my results. Now I can wear clothes that do not have to cover my tucked in skin and can exercise easier. Dr Bidic and his staff are excellent. I have sent some family members and others from my massive weight loss group to Dr. Bidic. I very much appreciate what he has done for me--the operation has changed my life!!!!

Hi Summer! Yes the scar goes all the way around, but it is camouflaged pretty by my pants, underwear or bathing suit. Dr. B asked me to wear underwear that I wanted to hide my scars to the marking session the day before my surgery. Also, he incorporates scar therapy into the cost of the operation and started having me massage my scars after three weeks.

I am thinking of doing it end of this year, is suggested my some of my colleagues. I do not have enough knowledge about its procedure. I want to know more about this. Is there anybody who had gone through this type of procedure (plastic surgery ) and if you anyone else could see my post; please share your experience with me whether it is bad or good!

You look truly amazing! I'm just beginning my weight loss journey and I'm curious about your recovery. How long did it take you to get back to normal activity and did you have help?

After my LBL, I stayed in the hospital overnight. Like I was told by Dr. Bidic, I didn't stand up straight for a week! The pain was mostly in my belly muscles from the tightening, but I was off of the pain pills in about 4-5 days. I had my sister stay with me for a few days and would recommend someone being with you for the first week. I drove myself to my first post-op appointment a week after my surgery. I went back to work as office manager in a little over two weeks and was back to working out in a month.
I really would recommend this operation for anyone who has excess skin after a weight loss procedure. I now look like a feel after losing the weight.

Thanks so much for the update. That type of recovery actually sounds manageable. I've got a good friend who can help out. I'm not one for taking too much medication. What type of pain medication were you on? Your review has helped me quite a bit. Thanks again and I hope you're doing okay.
