Your Eyes Are the Gateway to Your Soul - Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam

Being a Korean-looking Vietnamese female, I was born with no eyelids. Thats right, ZERO percent of a fold over my eyes - no crease - no palette for poppy eyeshadow. I had lashes that didnt curl because of this.
This summer I went on a vacation to Vietnam, where if you don't have some sort of surgery or "correction" done to your body or face, you either reside in Vietnam's mountains with the goats or you have no friends that care about you. Seriously everybody, looking at all your cost prices.... I say you all take the money you were about to use to overpay your American surgeons and buy a plane ticket in Vietnam and fix everything on your list (HAHA okay Im joking I do NOT condone TOTAL FACE RECONSTRUCTION - moderation is key my friends). But really, $34 000? $5000? average coost $4300? I never even considered this elective surgery BECAUSE of its price tag. I never THOUGHT I wanted eyelids. And no - I know youre all thinking "of course it would be cheap when you hand your face over to monkeys and apes", but really guys, they are amazing. When you walk down the street in Saigon or Hanoi, you're left feeling like a filthy ugly dirtbag by the time you've reached home. Celebs, singers, actors, GRANDMA's (yep - my great grandmorther), people that don't have a proper home but live in a boat on the water, and CHILDREN get everything prettied up here. Rhinoplasty is $1000 in Hanoi, but only $400 in Saigon. You can get your eyebrows lifted, double eyelid surgery, cheeks lifted, eyebrows tatted, lips pumped with collagen, boob job, AND GET TO SPEND A GREAT TIME IN A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY whilst you are healing from all these operations for **UNDER** WHATEVER YOU GUYS ARE PAYING! If only everyone could see what a goldmine Vietnam is. And wow - I just realized I think I acted as a spokesperson for Vietnam travel instead of a review for eyelid surgery, but what my point here is is that its NOT costly for these operations in Asia.
My eyes have opened up which allow my god-gifted hazel eyes to pop. I don't have the "chinky smile" in pictures anymore, and..... I FINALLY HAVE EYELIDS! The procedure took me 45 minutes with 4 people in the room - 2 of which were only there to distract me from the pain my talking to me and holding my hand (very supportive huh?) All in all I say this is a great way to MINIMALLY change your face yet realize DRAMATIC and CRITICAL results. I just don't agree with anyone paying over $1000. =)

Now, what if you couldn't stay there the entire recovery period and had to go home, which is normally the case? Who are you going to call if there's complication?
I went there in June 2011 and was convinced that I could have a browlift and eyelids surgery for $2,000 in Saigon. Fortunately, I didn't do it because facility was dirty and people was very pushy.
DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU LIVE THERE!
