Merry Christmas & 8 &9 day post op review

Everyone is still sleeping here. So a quick update. Day 8ppl i went to my check up appointment and have developed heat rash!! Annoying, itchy beyond belief.

Nurse took away the ABD pads, polysporin and gave me a pillow case (cotton) and vaseline instead. She also gave me calomine (however you spell it) for the rashes. She thinks i have very sensitive skin and either allergic to those things or its heat rash. Either way its a pain in my a $$ lol
my incision is bumpy and a lil red she said from being irritated or allergic to the ABD pad polysporin. My grandma was allergic to those as well.
I am not liking the way it looks that is why i haven't posted pics. I like my belly button and incision lines, its the redness , bumps, swelling, etc.
I got my drains removed as i was producing 10cc on each side. The day of appt was minimal also. I hope i dont develop more fluid with it out. I've read it could develop seroma. The feeling though of them being gone is amazing. The tubes were starting to hurt the entrance part. I took long hard deep breathes and as I was exhaling she pulled one out at a time. Didn't really feel it as i was trying my hardest to concentrate on my breathes.
I wanted to stretch my legs so I went to the mall for a bit:) felt nice to be in public as I was hidden in my cave for awhile lol.
Christmas eve, day 9 was relaxing as I had everything done before surgery! I am going to do that every year! My parents are cooking the dinner which will be nice. My only problem I ate unhealthy snacks like chips and I swell up immediately!! Hated the feeling and am planning on watching what I est this holidays and portion controlling.
When I had Lipo in 2006 my PS at that time told me I wouldn't gain weight again where he lipo'd so be cautious as the fat will wonder to other places. Well turns out the other places was my stomach... now that's gone I am terrified where it will wonder to this time if I should gain weight. I have always been a yo yo so this time I need to watch what I eat. If anything, I wish it to my a $$! Haha

Merry Christmas! ! I better get up and ready for the day before my kids wake up. Have a great day everyone.

Day 4,5,6 in a nutshell

I forgot to mention that on day 2 I was able to have a BM without any laxatives. Thankfully I haven't needed to take any. I think it's my super mix helping :)

Everyday I have been just relaxing in bed and trying to take it easy. My husband has completely stepped up to the plate for our family and has done amazingly with taking on everything ! I never had any doubt as he is a wonderful dad. My kids as well have their chores they need to do everyday to help out.

I think I am getting heat rash and have no clue how to get rid of it. Any suggestions please ? It is very itchy bright red little raised bumps. I have to wear an adominal pad under my binder and is very itchy. My incision is not pretty whatsoever lol

Last night I had to worst sleep. My butt is starting to hurt. I'm a side sleeper and am so wishing I could sleep on my side right now. I guess it will be quite sometime till I can. I had muscle spasms and they hurt like a biatch! It felt like am electric surge rush thru my tummy down to my legs. My adominal muscles tightened for a few seconds which for some reason made my legs seize straight and then my muscles relaxed. It happened a few times thru the night. Has anyone else felt that before?

I went out of the house a couple times. I took it very easy. Just wanted to get a change of scenery. I noticed too that my stomach is nice and small in the morning and in the afternoon I am swollen.

On Tuesday I go to my post op check up. I am hoping I can get my drains out or at least one. The fluid is already becoming minimal. My left was 15cc and right was 14cc. I want to be able to wear something that will not hurt my fufu lol. It's weird having things stick out of that area.... Not comfortable that's for sure lol

Day 2 & 3 post op

Yesterday the nurse came to see me in the morning to clean me up, change my bandaging and let me know what needs to be done at home. I missed one of my doses of meds in the middle of the night and I won't plan on doing that again. I felt a burning feeling in my tummy. After I took the meds I was fine again.

The nurse told me that the doctor took off from the top of the pubic area to my belly button and it measured 19cms!!?? It also weighed 1.5kgs = 3.3 lbs! They also took my blood pressure before I went in (I only had high blood pressure during pregnancy) and it was 172/125! Yup I was nervous. I do feel flat now but am expecting it to have swelling soon. Thank you everyone again for your blogs it gives me somewhat of an idea what to expect at the next stages.

After the nurse left we got ready to go home. We were staying in a really nice resort right beside the clinic. They have a connector so all I had to do is go in the wheel chair and they pushed me to my room. Beautiful and comfortable and the room is designed for surgery. Raised toilet seats, walk in shower, wheel chair/walker accessible, the beds aren't low and in the master room it didn't have a door to the bathroom just a wide entry way with a glass partition.

My drive home was a couple hours. I made sure I braced myself for any bumps and had pillows under my legs to elevate them more. We stopped a couple times to give my legs a stretch.

It's nice to be home now. My husband had everything ready for my return. My daughter right away took out her doctors kit and checked all my vitals. It was a really busy environment and it kind of had me feel Antsy. I just let them know I didn't really want to talk and just wanted to rest.

Day 3, today when I woke up I had a sore neck and back. I now have ice packs on them. I was alone for a bit this morning but slept most of the time. My husband had My lunch ready in the fridge. I have a walker to make it easier to move around. I'm not experiencing any pain right now just discomfort especially when I get up and down. Other than that I am just starting to get bored. I will be having some visitors later in so I am hoping that will help time pass by fast. I can't wait till I can walk straight :)
