After short experiment, decided to stop using Latisse

WORTH IT$125
This will be my last post, as I have decided to stop using Latisse. I can confirm that it really does re-grow lashes just as it says. After 2 months of use, I have more lashes than I anticipated after such a short time. However, after reading and seeing photos of certain users experiencing "orbital fat loss", I have stopped using Latisse. I am a worrier by nature and it's just not worth it to use a product that could make me look worse, not better. I will miss my new, longer lashes and it was fun while it lasted. Good luck to all with your decision whether or not to use Latisse.

No "before" photos, unfortunately....

I didn't take "before" photos because I'm a dinosaur and don't have a fancy phone with a camera. LOL. I am happy just to have SOME lashes now instead of being totally bald in the eyelash department. I don't plan to go all out and try to grow lashes that look like I've gotten extension or am wearing false lashes as I just don't think that will work on my 58 yr. old self. I'm using Latisse 3-4 nights a week and it definitely works is all I can say. The initial cost seems high, but I expect my first bottle to last 3 months, so it's a reasonable indulgence even on my limited budget. :)

After reading reviews that said it takes weeks or months to see results with Latisse, I was pleasantly surprised see significant improvement in just 3 weeks. I had zero visible lashes (probably due to hormonal changes/menopause)....not even enough to really use mascara on. After using Latisse nightly for 3 weeks, I have definite lashes now, especially if I use a little mascara. Can't wait to see where this goes!! I use small scissors to cut off about 1/2 of the bristles on the applicator brush that is provided. I started this because it seemed that most of the product was getting lost in the brush. Now, I can feel the moisture when I apply it and I know it's going onto my eyelid and not staying in the brush! I use 1 drop for both eyes (instead of 1 drop per eye) and I admit that I do use the same brush for both. No eyelid or pupil discoloration, no redness or eyelid irritation. No pictures, but I'm a happy customer!

It's nice that you've found just the technique that works best for you. Sounds like you can economize a bit too and still get great results. Wondering if you could still get similar results by applying it every other night? Thank you for sharing with us on RealSelf. Please keep us posted on any further changes!

Update: I did begin to experience some dryness of the skin on my upper eyelids, and in contrast to what so many experience with Latisse, my eyes began to WATER. I have backed off to applying Latisse about 4 x a week as I described earlier. I will update as to whether I continue to see an increase in lash growth. Also, my (young and gorgeous--she was in grade school with my daughter) ophthalmologist told me that she uses Latisse 3-4 times a week. Wish I thought it would make me look like her--LOL.

I am 49 and have also noticed a definite loss of lash volume the past few years. I have been contemplating Latisse but I not only have abnormally dry eyes but also sensitive skin around my eyes. I can't even use any eye creams with SPF in them as I begin to itch, swell and turn red. (It definitely gets rid of the fine lines but in the wrong way!) However, you could possibly be my eye lash inspiration! Looking forward to your next update.
