Vertical Scar Removal by Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

I met Mr Murphy after a recommendation from a friend. I found him to be very kind and empathetic. He explained everything thoroughly. Initially my consultation was for the possibility of a Breast Reduction (I have written a a separate review) but asked about the possible revision of an unsightly vertical scar running about 5 inches down from my belly button, due to emergency surgery a couple of years before. Mr Murphy told me he could actually remove it completely with a tummy tuck!

I was given a lot of information, possibilities, results and aftercare. There was no pressure whatsoever and I felt extremely confident that he was the consultant I wanted.

The surgery went very well (I had the Breast Reduction and the Abdominoplasty at the same time). I stayed at the Spire in Manchester for two nights. I was very comfortable and my care was brilliant. I was sent home with everything I needed and a contact number for Jac, the nurse, in case I had any questions.

After care was brilliant too. I saw Jac who checked everything was healing well and advised me on the next steps of caring for the wounds to minimise scarring. After 6 months I had a little revision to the end of one of my scars as it was a little ragged looking. I knew that this sometimes happened so I wasn't phased at all by it. A quick 20 min tweak and everything was done.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the results, absolutely over the moon. Mr Murphy's surgery has changed my life. It was such an unsightly scar I never thought I'd wear a bikini again! My stomach is taught and firm with no signs of surgery other than a thin scar running along my bikini line which is covered by briefs. I am beyond happy and would recommend Mr James Murphy all day long without hesitation. Thanks to Jac too who's aftercare was excellent.
