Post op Radical Facial surgery @ 3 weeks

Wounds are closed. Scars remain, but are fading. I can wear make-up now to hide them-but moisturizer is critical, inside the "new nose" & outside. My face remains asymmetric, one eyebrow higher than the other, one cheek flyer than the other, and my neck saggs on the non operative side. Nerve pain continues to be. Big issue as the helping continues; but I (and everyone else) am amazed at how well my face has healed as far as the surgery & I am grateful. It's better than having lost my face to cancer!!

Post op 8 days

The graft has taken nicely, Stitches out 48 hours ago from nose tip & forehead. Due to have graft anastomosis clipped 11/12/15 - won't ever be the same; but to have a functioning nose in a week from a situation that I believed impossible-is a MIRACLE!! Thank You Dr. Goldman! You are Brilliant, talented & a great singer! (He sings & humms along with the radio all durning surgery)... Maintains Awesome distraction, and very positive environment. One of the BEST surgeons I have ever met in 25 years of nursing!

I visited my Brother John one day, after finding a cute "Tony the Pony" type toy for his Grandson. I took it home, fixed it all up & when I went to deliver it with My Grand daughter- he noticed a lesion in my nose & said "you have basal cell there on your nose".... I replied, No; the doctors who biopsied the area last year said it was just a benign "ANGIOMA" -but come to think of it... I have tried everything; and it has been a year- and it isn't healing...so I saw my Primary doctor who got me in with a surgeon right away & the "Punch biopsy" - (different from the last type; the prior year that was done with a clicking razor thing by a resident at another office) came back positive & surgery was scheduled for 10/27/15, but ended up being a two day process. This Doctor worked on my face 9 1/2 hours - all because of a "Magic horse; taking me to the brother I hardly ever see & a misdiagnosis the year before.

This Doctor came highly recommended; he has written at least one book about different findings & technique. He has wonderful reassuring manner & his dedication & professionalism is outstanding! I feel blessed to have had him provide my care. He also rushed me in; because I have breast cancer (b/l mastectomy 2014) and appointments in 3 weeks to get to in FL. Very accommodating & kind hearted Gentleman.
